Studying this problem led to a realization that there are different geometric approaches to this problem, and I tried two different approaches. The attached pictures show the differences, both side-by-side and in the details of the clipping tips in comparable orientation.The shorter tips, oriented normal to the cut direction (BLESWIN), were stronger than the longer tips oriented parallel to the cut (RIMEI). They may be equally sharp, but the BLESWIN cuts more easily then the RIMEI because the BLESWIN geometry and leverage simply work better.

These are definitely sharp and can really get the job done. I do recommend that you keep them out of reach of young children for they are extremely sharp!

Powerful, can cut through the thickest nail. Not the daintiest utensil for small toenails though.

These are the best yet. Very sharp and you don't have to have muscles to use them like regular ones. You will be very happy with them.
