Very dissatisfied as I tried to get these pencils to change color and they would not. It shouldn’t be too difficult to get the color to change to what is shown in the advertisements. I will be returning these and would not recommend unless you are looking for black metallic glitter pencils. I did not sharpen any of the pencils as I am returning them so I am unsure of the overall quality.

The pencils arrived and were black. They have warmed to the two tone but they don’t change colors in your hand like other color change pencils do. Kids were disappointed.

My pencils came covered in black sparkly paint. I am assuming this was the color changing part. It only sort of worked. It took a while for it to warm up enough to change color. However what it was really doing was become transparent so you could see the paint under it. This effect was muted and hard to see. My students ended up scraping off the black paint to see the colors underneath.Cute concept but not executed well.

These pencils are fun when they change colors

Unfortunately these pencils arrived looking like black glitter pencils. This was no big deal. I kept feeling like after a change in temperature, perhaps they would change colors and perhaps stay colorful somehow. Unfortunately, not only do they stay black, they peel really badly exposing an orange fluorescent color beneath. These were for my art classes (fun colors to distinguish mine from the students'). The few times the pencils nearly took on the colors shown, much effort of warming them up occurred and it was simply not worth it. This may be my first unfavorable review ever.

They aren't "mood" changing. They don't change color in your hands. Disappointed. Signed up for pencils for my son's class spring party and don't have time to deal with changing but was hoping I was getting something special.
