Works perfectly for the modular bumper, incl sensor relocation
The product works great and feels very solid. I started out with the hidden winch mount and decided that was outside of my comfort zone. This high mount kit was the perfect solution. The install is a beast, not complicated but you need help getting the winch and mount installed (heavy!).The sensor relocation is easy, although my factory wire harness wasn’t long enough to be pulled out as instructed. Wasn’t an issue, just added the extensions earlier than instructed. If you have the front camera (I do) you’ll need a depart camera relocation kit. There are plenty of options. RC has one as well. Make sure you do both at the same time, to get the camera out of the grill the grill has to be removed (I learned that the hard way).

Mine didn’t fit . . . Some sort of manufacturing error.
I love Rough Country, but this winch mount needs some serious help. If you buy it, make sure it fits before you get to the last step of actually mounting it. I know I got a defective one . . . It didn’t line up and couldn’t be installed. However, I was not impressed with any portion of this mount. It was scratched all over the place . . . Making me think someone else tried to install this and realized it didn’t work and then returned it . . . Then they repackaged and sent it to me as if it was new. Another issue is the welds are terrible. I haven’t welded since I was in high school (like 30 years ago) and I had better beads. In any event, I was fortunate. I was installing the light bar, winch, other off-road lights, and the camera relocation. I wanted to do everything at once and not have to uninstall the mount to run wiring for my additional lights so I worked backward, starting with the wiring. As I laid out the wiring and read over the final instructions, I began to wonder if I was going to be able to snake all the wires after install. As such, I decided to sort of “dry-fit” to see if the wires would work out. That is when I realized that the holes would not line up with my bronco’s mount points. The only way it would work is if I put the bolts in at an angle . . . Which is obviously something I wasn’t willing to do.Overall, if it fits your vehicle, it is probably a decent value for the price. I can deal with garbage welds at that price point. I ended up sending everything back and getting an IAG mount. The IAG mount was like a 1000 times easier to install and looks better. My only complaint with that is it gets rid of the factory d-ring mounts (which is why I didn’t go with it in the first place). Lesson learned.

Add a winch to your Bronco
There was at least one sloppy weld that I had to grind . Really not that big a deal. I repainted it all over to protect against rust. The instructions had you assemble it all together including the winch. Working by myself I added the mount. After that was installed, I added the Warn winch. All in all pretty good. I added this to the Chinese OEM style HD modular bumper. For some reason the mount rubbed on the bumper so a quick grind on the bumper in the offending area solved that problem.

Quality is suspect. Expected better
Opened the box to inspect the mount and found many deficiencies on it. Welds were not ground down and left very rough especially in areas that will be visible to the eye. Also scratches on it as well. Maybe I was sent a previously returned one? Who knows. Rough Country needs to up their quality control game. Sending back and hoping the next one will be better made. Will adjust rating if needed.
