I bought this to stop the slugs coming in to eat the cats food. Put it over the door step and up the sides of the door frame - stapled it in position - great deterrent.

I’ve wrapped it around pots and around strips of plastic from used bottles. Works a treat.

I have tried copper tape around pots, which has failed against slugs and snails. This copper ribbon is very flexible and I have been able to mould it around the top of the pot. Making it difficult for these pests to get to the plants. They were also munching at my new Clematis down at ground level, so I wound a length of the ribbon around the stems at ground level and so far so good. It's good value and cheaper than having to buy new plants.

Rolled out on a flat surface it worked very well. Didn’t work quite so well around pots or around plants … slugs can find ways through the gaps created when wrapped around the base. But those on the flag service in greenhouse were not touched at all

Read up on this item I had high expectations how wrong I was..Easy to use but doesn't do the job at all went outside early and 2 snails had got over copper mesh past my beer traps and were eating my sunflowers... 3 more where chilling out on the copper mesh ..not worth tlit .... doesn't work save your money ..

I purchased this in order to eradicate slug and still damage to my tender plants.Our garden pests have got undercarriages like sherman tanks or the were pole vaulters in a past life.I've decided two lines of defense are required,egg shells are good.

Finally a way of protecting my hostas! Since placing a barrier of this around my pots I haven’t had a single nibble out of the leaves on my hostas.I’ve tried numerous, and I mean all the organic ways, of keeping the devil’s own from attacking my hostas - copper tape, garlic sprays, lifting the pots onto chicken wire etc, yet this has been the only effective solution. I wish I’d found it years ago!
