Higher temperature tolerance than rated
While some complain about how well the adhesive works, without a description of what they are sticking it to, I found it sticks to itself very good, and wrapping it around something works great. I also tested it at much higher temperatures than the rating. I used a temperature controlled soldering iron at 750 F (399 C) and it doesn’t melt or smoke at all.

Poor choice. Junk.
Quality was exremely poor. No adhesive on tape. Questionable if its heat resistant. Overall terrible.

Excellent heat stability with a good smoke seal
I used this to seal a pellet stove exhaust pipe connection where the metal joints were scatched and leaking into the room. The tape provided a radial seal at the joint, supplemented by tape around the outer seam at the same joint, which was harder to apply. Results in a good smoke seal without replacing metal parts.

Not impressed
The adhesive on this tape was extremely weak and wood not stick the the material I needed it for. Ended up returning for a refund.

Good tape in engine bay
I t lays down nicely and adhered very well to clean surfaces. Oil is the problem to most tapes not sticking to repair surfaces. It works no better or worse than every tape I have used around an engine.Buy with confidence
