Good buy, worth the money
Like everthing about these little alarms. Would definately make me aware if someone was to try and gain entry to my house.

Good, decent and simple home security alarm
A very simple alarm system which is suitable for a small home, if you don't want any complicated and expensive system, I bought it for my small apartment to deter intruders. The alarm works well and suits for my purposes. Though the instruction booklet that came with the alarm is not very detailed and it took me a good twenty minutes to figure out how and where to stick the alarm. Do have a look at the picture posted on Amazon, that really helps!

Good alarms, but not for our doors/windows
The kit is supplied with three window/door sensors, and a key code operated sensor that is suggested for use with a garage or shed. The window/door sensors require 4 small batteries each, and these are supplied with the sensors. On the set I had, one set of four batteries was dead; the other sets worked. The garage/shed sensor requires batteries to be purchased separately. In all the kit is well packaged and seems a sensible buy - except that we were unable to use any of the sensors, for practical reasons. Each device is in two parts that need to be installed immediately adjacent, and within half an inch of each other on the same plane. All of our UPVC windows and doors - and the wooden shed as well - have inset opening parts: neither the doors nor the windows are flush and thus on the same plane. This means that the alarm always thinks the door or window has been opened and so the alarm goes off.For a home where the doors/windows conform to the needs of this alarm set, it would be a good, effective and cost-effective solution. That's the only proviso.

Not bad, but dissapointing really
This is a very low cost system and should be judged accordingly. Basically all these items are battery driven - the window alarms driven by button cells which are supplied and the keypad needs 3 AAA batteries which are not supplied. These products do work and make an audible noise on activation, but not the level of noise that would be heard by your next door neighbour. They attach simply to windows and walls with supplied screws or sticky pads. You won't need any specialist help to fit them, but you might need a few extra sticky pads. The keypad would be fairly easy to break off the wall and crunch underfoot, stopping the alarm and the noise from the window alarms is relatively low and again when ripped off the sticky pads holding them you can silence them by smashing with your foot. These are not the sort of products that your insurance company would endorse or approve of, and if you told them you had an alarm fitted (meaning this set) you would probably have your policy cancelled after a claim. These products are well made and work but I have to ask myself who would benefit from buying them? The answer is I cannot think if anyone! If you can think if a purpose these must at least be good value, but if it is about deterrent or raising an alarm on forced entry, I would buy a Parrott.

Peace of mind and the ability to put them in creative spots
This product has been such a tremendous help to our family. My husband and I are both blind with 4 young children to chase after. We've used bells and high locks for the longest time but my newly 2 year old mangaged to get past all of them and break outside one morning. He only made it to the next house before being caught but it terrified me. Now I have an alarm on both doors, the gate downstairs, and on his bedroom door with this set. It only dings if he goes downstairs but it makes one heck of a sound it he tries the doors. It was so easy to set up that we did it blind (obviously) using only info from a review. Now I have such peace of mind as my children move about the house setting off the doorbell sounds so I can keep constant track. My oldest knows the code for the front door but all the others don't dare even try. Our house is 2200 sq ft and two stories but I can hear both doors anywhere in the house. We expected this to be just a cheap temporary fix until we got an expensive complicated thing but were so happy that we have no plans of changing anytime soon. Though I am considering buying more of the small ones to put on the other baby gates. I love how these things can go anywhere!

Amazingly loud door alarm!
All I can say is WOW! I ordered the window alarms a few weeks ago and I was very pleased with them. Then I found this set that included the keypad alarm for a door. I thought the window alarms were loud, but nothing compared to the door alarm. It is piercing! Probably 10 times louder than the window alarms. I really like being able to set the alarm when I leave the house, or turn it on at night when I go to bed, but yet, I can leave it off if I'm going in and out of the house when I'm at home. The best thing, other than it being extremely loud, is the batteries and the chime/alarm switch is protected because the housing is screwed down. You have to remove the backing with a very small screwdriver. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I wish I had installed these two months ago before my home was broke into.
