Thin, stretchy, comfortable good for hiking, biking, spring skiing
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this for hiking and biking, it works as a face covering, sweat band, head covering and more. This is comfortable for me to wear, I just keep it around my neck until I need it .Has reflective lettering logo on the front and back for added safety.Could easily be used for spring skiing as well , it will offer protection but not much in the way of warmth.Good for hiking, biking, skiing, walking/running I have even used this for a ponytail holder.Nice quality, practical for many uses and comfortable, I will be using this often.

Warmer than it looks
I ordered this neck guard to wear during outdoor walks in below zero temps. I live in a very cold and flat area where I spend quite a bit of time walking outdoors in winter. Typically a hat and scarf are enough to keep me warm, but I ordered this try out on especially windy days. While it’s not the absolute warmest option, it’s warmer than it looks. My favorite thing about this warmer is that it’s so lightweight and thin. This makes it perfect for keeping in a pocket, wrapped around your wrist like a bracelet, or even worn as a headband when not in use. It doesn’t weigh me down, feel bulky, or look silly. Additionally, the fabric is super breathable and doesn’t tend to feel super damp or claustrophobic. The thing that I liked least about this was the tag. The tag is large and stiff on the otherwise smooth and soft piece. It really ruined the presentation for me. I was able to remove all of the visible tag, but it is sewn into the seam and the rest is permanent. This means that there is one very small and very uncomfortable area on the seam that I dislike feeling. For those that are picky about these types of things, beware.Overall, at the current cost of around $15, I would recommend this to most people looking for a lightweight neck guard that looks nice and helps to take the edge off the wind and chill.

Keeps the bite of the wind off but just fits okay
Arctix unisex-adult Neck GuardThis slips on and off easily, but it just doesn't fit great. I have an average sized female head and can work with it, but when I put it on, the cut isn't such that it covers my nose without also impeding my eyes a little on the corners. I've tried adjusting various ways, including covering my entire head, but it just isn't comfortable. It breathes through ok, as the material isn't super thick. When I went outside in 34F weather, it kept the initial chill off my face but I wouldn't count on it for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I'd rather have something thicker that won't feel uncomfortable when hiking around. I gave this to my 12 year old and with it being bigger on him he could adjust it around more and fold it up, and said he'd use it. But he had the same concerns - he didn't want to use it on neighborhood bike rides due to it riding up around his eyes.

Comfortable to wear and good for running
I was looking for something to wear around my neck while running on days when it is snowing or the temperatures are dipping well below freezing. I have a cotton gaiter but it doesnt dry very quickly and it is more of a protect your neck from sun type of thing.I was worried that the big tag on the Arctix Neck Guard would be annoying, but I didnt find it to be so. The material is soft and kept me warm running in the 28 F temperature and snow coming down this morning but without being too hot. So for running, it works well to keep the chill off your neck. I have not tried running with it over my face, but I never find gaiters to work well for this and instead have a mask that is more rigid (think Winter Soldier mask) which makes breathing much easier than having a gaiter pressed against my face, getting wet from water vapor.

Too much fabric with a poor fit!
I purchased this neck guard to provide some protection from the wind when I’m out in the cold weather, but it has quickly found its way out of rotation. This is very thin and it is just too much fabric to be comfortable. I wear glasses and was hoping this would prevent them from fogging but it’s no better then a normal face covering used in the cold.I found the packaging annoying as the plastic bit holding the neck guard to the cardboard created a hole in the product, which I’ve pictured. When this arrived it had a very strong odor which required it be washed a few times before it could even be worn.I wouldn’t recommend this item and at this price you’d be better off purchasing a name brand or from a big box store.

Lightweight but versatile
This is a tall fabric cylinder. Its natural diameter and elasticity doesn't close up the gap around your neck, hence only 4 stars. But you can pull the back up over your head, or pull the front up over chin, mouth, nose, whatever you need. Or without putting your head through it, you can wear it like a climber's scarf, close around the forehead and trailing down (probably under a hat) in back.Thin and light, it would be easy to stow this in a kit for unexpectedly chilly weather.Updated Feb 18 2023Changed this from 4 stars to 5. After some experience, I find this to be a really good match for my needs when cycling down to freezing temperatures, much better than the ear band I was wearing. I pull this up over my bikie cap and over my ears. As the day warms up, I pull it down (have to take off my helmet to free it) and just leave it around my neck.
