The kit has everything you need to make a beautiful and functional knife. The video instructions showed me a different way to attach scales that I have used on other knives with great success. There was an error in the instruction booklet that was shipped with the knife and Three Way Cut addressed and took care of the issue immediately! I could not be happier with the service, support and product.

I'm a long time knife collector, but this is the first one I've ever made. The kit isn't very challenging (a good thing in my case) but it is the perfect family project (father-daughter, mother-son, etc.).Here are the things I love: The kit is complete, meaning, other than a drill, it has everything you need to make the knife. The knife parts are excellent quality. In particular, the blade is made of 440C steel, which is a very good cutlery steel. The blade geometry (meaning the taper to the cutting edge) is very well done. The stainless steel bolsters are also very nice. Since the tools are reusable, especially the table vise and file set, you have almost everything you need for your next knife project. The end result is a very robust knife with a full tang that can be used for a variety of camping tasks including batoning (splitting wood with a knife).I've included some pictures showing my progress. Sadly, Amazon does not show the pictures in the order I uploaded them. Full disclosure, I used a Dremel rotary tool to do most of the handle shaping. The included files are just fine but require more effort.I have two final comments. The handle on this knife is a little short for my hands but it will be fine for most people. Also, it would be nice if the hole for the lanyard was larger than the holes for the brass pins. That would require including a second drill bit but worth it in my opinion.

I really like this kit. It is a perfect gift or project to keep for yourself. Everything you need is included in the box and easy to use. The instructions are clear and the end result is a strong, good looking and sharp knife. Definitely recommend.
