TOUPRET HUMI STOP - Anti-damp treatment - 1L - 00104

I first used this 8 years ago on damp patches which are a regular feature in the interior walls of my very old cottage.Neighbours in similar cottages have the same problem and Toupret was recommended to me.[Obviously more permanent remedies like false battened, lined walls or ceramic inserts may be better but much more costly, so for me the damp proof paint was my first option]In the three rooms I treated 8 years ago the damp has not recurred at all.I used a different, more easily available one more recently on two other rooms and the patches were back within a year.Then I found a seller on Amazon which sold Toupret and used it on the re-damp walls.It looked and felt far superior than the cheaper ones - thicker and more obviously damp repellent.It works better if it is first applied under new plaster, and then again over the plaster before painting but even just used over existing plaster it is the best one I've used.It doesn't cover as much as the cheaper ones so you use more but this is made up for, or has been for me, by the fact that it seems to last years longer.It is very easy to paint with and odourless.Obviously the brushes are almost impossible to clean - the stuff is not easily shifted even with spirit but I just use a cheap brush and dispose of it afterwards.I will definitely use it in preference to any other in future.

Had some damp stains on the bathroom of the house we purchased, after making sure the roof was all fixed up I used this before re-plastering and then again after and there’s not been any song of the stain coming through yet.

Very good product. Easy to apply. When Humi Stop dries, it becomes a thin "plastic" coat. Ive treated outside wall and the result is excellent. Will use again

Have bought this product twice now to help sort out a few minor problems, it does what it says, so would reconmend to anyone if you have a damp problem
