A simple substitute
I have a Canon "bridge" camera which had lost its ability to retain the current date and time after about 5 years of use. A quick search for help on the internet told me that there was a little battery buried in the camera body. This simple replacement has brought the camera back to full use.

Great product.
These batteries were difficult to find but Amazon came up trumps. They were needed for automatic garage keys

It worked
Quite tricky to handle carefully as you don't want to touch the two poles of the cell or it will shorten the life of the battery. Its best to use some plastic tweezers to handle it.
