Q: What is it's capacity?

Not quite a cup, but you really don't want to fill it since you need to keep shaking it and watching closely so the seeds will brown evenly and not burn. The advantage of the screen is that the seeds won't pop out.

Yes it can, previous answers are incorrect. It can be used on conventional electric glass stovetops and it can be used on induction cooktops, as is without a heating plate. The stainless steel used in the product is magnetic.

Q: Will this work properly on an induction heater (is it magnetic)?

Yes this works really well on an induction cooktop. BUT only use low settings, and keep the seeds moving. This roaster is made from magnetic stainless steel, very high quality and a great product. Other people have suggested this is made of aluminum, it is not. It is also suitable for any heat source, flame, electric, gas, induction.

Q: Could someone give instructions for roasting sesame seeds? I don't normally cook. Temperature, time, what to do. I have a regular electric coil stove.

I simply put a single layer of sesame seeds in the pan,close the top and place over medium heat. I have a gas range but don’t think that makes much difference. Keep shaking pan until the seeds turn golden brown and you can smell the toasted seeds. Lower heat if needed to keep from scorching seeds. Good luck and no more seeds popping out of pan!
