Great mustard
My husband and I love Chinese food and this mustard is perfect for making a dipping sauce for wings, etc. I add water to mustard powder along with a smidge of sesame oil, which makes a great sauce. I also like the ability to make the sauce thick or thin. It's great to have when I need a zippy pick-up for foods. I like being able to add dry mustard to foods rather than jarred mustards. I have been using this mustard for years. This mustard is rather pricey if I purchase a single small container at the supermarket. Purchasing larger quantities from Amazon is much cheaper and I don't have to worry about running out of mustard powder.

Only dry mustard I use but...
Will not pay $10 a can in local grocery store. Geez. Got 4 for $20 and shared 2 with others!I keep a stock on hand for old fashion mustard plasters (for bad chest colds) and for a special receipe for "my mustard" for St Pat's day corn beef, sandwiches and sauces thru out the yr.

Love hot mustard
I love hot mustard--like you get with Chinese meals. I take this mustard powder--one whole can--and start adding water to it a little at a time, until I have a thick paste. Then I add more water, a bit at a time, until I get it smooth and creamy and just a little thinner than I want it to end up being. I do this, because I know it will thicken a little bit in the refrigerator. Remember, that you can always add a little more water, but if you get it too thin, you are stuck with it.Well, I suppose you could try to add more powder from a second can, but it might end up lumpy. I then put this in a mustard squeeze bottle that I've already cleaned out. Label it HOT so no one mistakes it for regular mustard. A squeeze bottle of this lasts me a long time, since it is hot and you use it in smaller amounts than regular mustard. Love Colman's Mustard! Good stuff.

Supremely delicious mustard...
This mustard did arrive with a bit of loose powder in the box (only a very tiny amount though) but I think it's almost inevitable being that it is such finely ground mustard powder.The taste is superb and has that nostril burn comparable to hot Chinese Wasabi which I love too.Mustard is great for everything from sauces and dressings to meat and veggie rubs.I'm not sure about the expiration date issue. I couldn't really read the date on all of the ones I received but I imagine that as long as you keep this in cool, dark storage it can last a very long time. Never keep spices out on your counter. I always store my spices in my cabinets and in my pantry to preserve their shelf-life.If you need your sinuses cleared, this is the real deal!
