A Sweet Companion
Tom Odell's new set is intensely personal. For anyone who has known intense sadness, this will be a walk through those times. "Flying :))" is my favorite track with its simple piano melody and Odell's vocals so intimate and soft, "Right now I'm flying, So come and take a shot at me, Not scared of dying, It's sad how sad this life can be." There is a glimmer of hope within the stark baleful pain. While "Best Day of My Life" is not a party record by any means, it is a sweet companion for a lonely evening. Enjoy!
