Great product
I can hold a soldering iron with it. Got it at a steal. It's bulky and hard to work with, but if you want heat/slash protection, this is it.

Good heat protection
I used it for tinning brass vessel. The melted tin is spread using a small bundle of cloth. Earler I used a tong to hold the bundle, but after wearing the asbestos glove in one hand I could manage to hold it and sussessfully completed the job. A little bit of blackening occurred at the tip of three fingers of the glove, that is all.
