Q: How good is this for one person dragging a 80 lb dog? I've had a dog drop dead on me while walking and I had a hard time getting him back home.

Maybe, but depends cuz it’s not very thick material and might rip? But was dragging purposes on smooth floor or grass it should work, but I don’t know if it can support carrying a 80lbs dog if you’re gonna try to lift him up with it. But, I do use it to pull my Chow Chow (23kg) who can’t walk and is very fragile (extremely distended gallbladder) around the house.

Q: Are the handles pretty strong?

I used this with a German Shepherd who weighed about 120 pounds, and the handles have showed no signs of damage. They're still strongly fastened at all the attachment points, and I can't even see any signs of fabric strain or stitch give. Now, granted, I only had to use it twice, but I'm pretty pleased with how it held up, especially since it just lives permanently in the back of my car and, presumably, may be prone to a certain amount of UV or heat/cold damage because of that.
