Royal & Langnickel Essentials Art Cargo Carry Bag, 1 pack,Red/Black

This is a really great bag. Has everything to hold art supplies. Would be a really great laptop bag. Sturdy plenty of pockets for other stuff. Great overnight bag plenty of room, also room for all your makeup, toiletries. What I really like are the pockets on each end of the bag for they are of nice size and have straps at the top of them to hold whatever you put inside. Would be a good and secure pocket for a cellphone. Overall I was pleasantly surprised how great it looked and the quality.

Based on previous reviews, I decided to order this bag. What a find!!! It is quite large with a few surprises not mentioned in the product description eg. there are quite a few pockets - 1 on the flap facing you(zippered), 1on the outside back of the bag(also zippered), 2 on the front outside ( with flaps and velcro) and behind those, the handy open flat section with a mesh pouch for sundries and a removable,velcro attached pencil/brush holder. This open flat section can be un-zippered part way and used as an extra pocket. There is the large main section of the bag, with a removable zippered long paint brush holder. Two small pockets are on the bag's exterior near the shoulder strap hooks and as a wonderful added surprise, when you open the first pocket I mentioned, there are two adjustable straps that hang just outside the zip, for securing your document/artwork canister, umbrella or any other tubular shaped items. I almost purchased a different bag at a much higher cost simply to get this feature but at the last minute, changed my mind to this bag " Designed by Artists for Artists." I am SO glad that I did, since it is obvious that a lot of thought and planning went into designing a bag that would fulfill an artist's needs.It is sturdy and well made and I would DEFINITELY recommend it to a fellow art student!

I got this bag to hold me over until I found a better (more expensive) one. Well, months later, I really like this bag. The material is a little thin, but that also means the bag is light - and I have had no issues with durability. There are a lot of places to store different types of supplies. I personally don't use their brush holder (have my own). The organizer in front comes out, but I leave it in place and utilize the three "sections" the Velcro creates to organize additional things. The end pockets work great to hold water and water cups keeping them from other materials (I watercolor). The back pocket hold a lot of things. I have two sets of pencils, two folding metal palettes, and some spare water brushes. The main compartment is huge and easily holds Arches 16x20 watercolor blocks plus many other pads and supplies. This is really a nice bag for this or even a higher price.

I got this bag for my brother as a Christmas gift. After reading other reviews I almost didn't buy it. When the product finally came I wish I had brought two so that I could keep one. Some have said the fabric was cheap. I have to disagree. Considering the bag is for art supplies (not for lap tops or text books) it is plenty sturdy. It is also large, much larger than I expected. There are pockets galore and plenty of room to store some of the larger sketch pads. Overall it's a great bag!

I have been drawing for about 5 months now, and over that period of time I have accumulated a lot of pencil and gear. This bag served it purpose really well. Originally I was looking into buying a leather bag, but that didn't seem to practical unlike this one. The bag is made by Royal which is a good starting out artist brand, the bag itself is pretty durable. I've only had it for about 3 weeks but I've put over 3 big sketch books in it, plus a kindle tablet and laptop, and the bag had no problem being thrown around with all that weight. The bag is pretty big too. I believe it is actually intended for painter, but It holds pencils and erasers no problem, That is what I primarily use it for. There are a total of 6 spacious zipper pockets on the bag, along with some removable pencil/shading stub holders. Well worth the price, this will be my art bag for awhile.

First off, if you're looking to buy a bag - make sure you look at the dimensions and use a measuring tape to lay out a piece of material (or books or even paper) to get an idea of how big something is before buying. When I received this, I realized that I neglected to do this step. What I received was a bag that was so much larger than expected. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. She hasn't received it yet but I purchased it based on the reviews/photos. Seriously, this bag is amazing! A LOT larger than I figured it would be but there is no doubt in my mind that she will love it. The greatest thing about this bag is that she will be able to take it on trips with her. I would say that if you want something for "drawing" only then get a smaller bag for taking around town. But this is a perfect bag for going on trips. I don't know that she'll carry it around town but I guarantee you it will get used. Many, many pockets and a great buy!

Product came missing 3 parts: the shoulder strap, the brush holder, and the long-handle brush wrap.

This bag is perfect. It has 7 or 8 pockets and comes with a separate paintbrush case that holds up to 20 brushes. It is strong and durable. It comes with a removable shoulder strap. It is big enough to hold all of your visual arts needs. Also, the color is true to the image, a beautiful cherry red!
