Dakota 283 G3 Framed Door Kennel - Small - Coyote Granite

This crate is SERIOUSLY top notch!! Just got a new puppy who immediately chewed through her soft crate. My shepherd mix has a Ruffland crate and I was planning on getting the puppy one too, but was going to take weeks for the size I needed. Was in a pinch and saw two day shipping on Amazon for this crate. It looked comparable so I ordered it. Got it today and I can say this crate is WAY nicer, plus they have an awesome product line of compatible accessories (puppy kennel divider, fan for the crate, etc)! Already I can tell I will not be buying from another crate company ever again!!

Very pleased with this crate-it’s heavy duty for transporting pets and offers plenty of room for my small dog-she’s very comfortable in this crate.Price was great too-I purchased on sale.I will buy another eventually….

I ordered and received two of these. The first one the door would not shut without slamming it shut. The door seemed to be sprung. One of the screws in the corner of the door that did not align, would not tighten.Honestly, I was shocked when I talked to customer service and when I told them the door was not shut, the first thing they told me to do was to check the screws because it’s not on common for them to become loose during shipment. If they come loose during shipment, what happens when it’s in my car going down the road??🤔Ordered a second one and frustratingly they would not overnight ship it despite the first crater being a $300 defective crate.I did receive the second crate quickly, but they would not put my mind at ease and send it overnight so that I knew I would have it prior to departure for a long road trip.With The second crate, the door actually worked. But it also had a screw that would not tighten. Didn’t matter if I used a wrench to hold the nut and a cordless screwdriver or regular screwdriver on the other side, I still could not get it to tighten.Both will be returned.Otherwise, the crate seems to be well made, and the way the top handle is made. That seems that it would allow you to have a place to anchor and secure the crate to the vehicle.

It is the perfect size for my 15” AHT. She wishes the door’s opening was taller though. It looks and feels very sturdy. The color is gorgeous. The centered handle makes it easy to carry. It’s weight is manageable. It does have a slight rattle when in the backseat. Second pic shows it in the backseat of a 2019 Rav4.

Pricey but love the door latch.

In the event of a crash I'm pretty sure my dog has better odds of surviving unscathed than I do.It is VERY sturdy. The color is as pictured. Couldn't ask for anything else, really!

This thing is SOLID! My pup loves it and I don't need to worry about it getting damaged--it's very solid one-piece construction with heavy duty door and locking mechanism. We both love it!
