Q: Does this work in any angle, vertical and horizontal?

Multi-angle. As shown in the picture. You could go up, down, left, right. You could find a suitable position.

Q: Does this work for 2020 rav4 hybrid xle?

It worked fine for my 2021 RAV4 Prime (plug-in hybrid) which does not have the round control knob (for which the side vertical slots are made) but that did not matter because that part of the vent attachment did not cover too much of the vent. I worked very well for me.

Q: Does this work if your phone has a case?

In my case, this holder fits perfectly with a phone with no case. Worked ok for me but as soon as I used the thinnest case for my phone, this holder is useless.

Q: Will this fit a 2019 rav-4 xle without the vent control wheels on the sides of the hazard light button?

I really don’t know, I have a Toyota RAV4 2021 they phone holder didn’t fit the a/c vent it was to big and they are some changes on the RAV4 on the a/c vent on almost every model !!!
