Perfect for the gaming I do!
I paid a little over $1k, and it was totally worth every dollar! As a bonus to my order, I received a Ryzen 9, instead of the shown Ryzen 7. I'm not complaining! I mainly wanted it for the RTX 4050, and 144hz screen. This is leagues better than my old Ryzen 5, GTX 1650. That guy has served me well, and now I have a new baby.Anyway... It performs flawlessly, and makes my games run so much more smoothly. Take Skyrim for example. My old laptop would sometimes drop to low 30fps, with less than 200 mods. I currently have 400 mods, and the lowest I've hit (without ENB) is 60fps. It typically stays in the low to mid 100's.In short, this laptop is exactly what you want if you're a gamer!

Good hardware, bloated software.
The product is my first gaming laptop so it's a one-of-a-kind for me. One thing about it is that it's pretty heavy for its size and quite bulky. That's not a bad thing, just something that a first-time buyer will need to note when taking it out of the bag. Hardware it's great, does what it's supposed to do.Software, it's full of bloat, a lot of added software that's not needed and simply takes up space. And more bloat than usual. So when setting up, a lot of time will need to be spent skewing through the files to see what to delete. Also, this product comes with an Xbox game pass. However, for me, I didn't live in a region that supports that. So the game pass is just there. If you're not from the 1st world you'll likely need to get a VPN to make use of the game pass if you want. Or just move.

BIOS neutered so it doesn't work well as a dual-boot machine
I did a reasonable amount of research before buying this laptop and asked for opinions from friends before actually making the purchase, but as I knew from the outset that I would be using it as a dual boot Windows/Ubuntu machine (primarily Ubuntu), I wish I had known that ASUS had neutered the BIOS such that many things wouldn't work well for my purposes. For example, I can't set my function lock to be off by default (which is what I prefer since I play a lot of Minecraft). Also, The Bluetooth adapter works under both Windows and Linux, but paired devices are not recognized across OSes. Also, every time I switch between Linux and Windows, I have to manually repair my Bluetooth devices. Even power control is out of my hands. In all cases, ASUS hides all BIOS options that could possibly control this behavior, choosing to put any control functionality in Windows only, like Windows system settings or Armoury Crate, which in most cases don't affect the Linux boot. (Apparently they do affect the keyboard, so that's nice at least?)So while I'm happy with the speed, durability, etc., of the Asus A15, if I had known about how ASUS had neutered its BIOS in advance, I would have chosen a different laptop, and will definitely be more careful about my choice next time.

It is amazing but has an issue right out of box.
I love this computer and it’s performance, but the speaker on the left seemed to be bad right out of the box. Rattles alot while playing music. Other than that. No issues at all. Runs perfect.

Arrived fast- Less than two days.
The laptop is working great. I was skeptical whether it will be damaged or something. But it came untouched. I just got done setting it up doing some benchmarks. It is very powerful. I you are in the range of a 1100$ budget, this is the best i think you can do. The screen is very colorful and amazing when playing games. I ran Witcher 3 Next Gen modded ultra settings around 100 fps which is pretty damn amazing. Thank you!Update : So I've played like hella lot of games like Destiny 2 (120 fps), Witcher 3 (60fps ), Metro Exodus (60fps), Cyberpunk (80fps), Hogwarts Legacy (70 fps), Warframe (120fps), Mafia 3 DE (60fps) etc. These are all on High to Ultra settings but you need to remember to update your software and drivers. Also keep good practices when using a laptop like lift the back up a little so air would circulate better and and generally keep the system clean.

Bricked after 14 months.
Learned pretty quickly I needed a Ram upgrade as Win11 background processes, even after a reg edit, used up nearly half of my 16GB. No extra slots so had to replace vs. add another stick. The keys are huge compared to my previous laptops so lots of typos due to having tiny hands and fingers (ring size is 4.75 for reference. Trackpad is obnoxiously large so constantly zooming in and out - it also has a stutter which nothing seems to fix. Weird function keys. I do love how it takes up way less space for the same "size" laptop I always get.ETA: Purchased in January 2024 and it died May 1st 2025 due to motherboard failure - replacement costs $600! I don't think this laptop can handle the various Win11 updates - especially once the 24h2 was forced upon us - and the constant bugs. With every update the laptop got crankier and crankier with BSODs and issues with Windows Kernels and zombie processes. Opened up the case after it croaked - note that the fans hadn't started getting loud or anything - and the entire bottom of the casing on the inside looks brown and burnt. When you factor in the higher RAM I needed to purchase to get it to run basic programs all told it cost me $100/month that it lived (which sucks) but on top of that to replace it with something made to be compatible with newer software the laptops with similar upgraded specs without the Windows issues cost twice as much and there's still no guarantee that they'll last 5-7 years like they used to; planned obsolescence plus inflation means you have to spend half what this laptop cost and expect it to only last 1-2 years max.
