I was having trouble with Bluetooth on my small class d amp that kept dropping the signal from my TV so I decided to use the optical out instead. I needed a DAC with a remote control as the amp doesn't have one. So the DAC aux output goes into the amplifier and I use the DAC remote control to alter the volume.One little issue, I had to put some black tape over the power LED it left it a lasting impression on my retinas. Also, I advise on turning the DAC off when not in use as the last DAC I had burnt out after a year but I did keep that on continuously.
