VOLANTEXRC Remote Control BoatContents In Box:RC BoatRemote Control HandleLithium Battery Plus a SpareBatteries 4 x AACharging Cable LeadSpannerSpare Propeller.Instruction Manual. If you are wondering about losing the boat in the middle of a lake when the battery runs out like I was, the ESC auto-sensing voltage cut off function will engage when the battery is running low so you know to get the boat back to the side and change or recharge the battery, no lost or stuck boat you are unable to reach which is a good from a safety point of view. The RC boat comes with 2 Lithium batteries which is great so you always have one charged up when needed. The RC boat comes already assembled and can be used straight from the box after inserting the batteries. This boat is neat and compact and feels really well built and the battery compartment is easy accessible without the need of a screwdriver either, you just turn the little lever to open and close, the closure structure of the mechanism is secure and a nice neat fit.I especially like the hand controller as it's a good size to grip and feels comfortable holding, the control dial has a sponge type layer so its more easy to grip and guide the boat.Photo taken with baked beans can for scale.*Please Note: I have had to do this review as time is running out from my trial period but will update once I have been too the lake*

Doesn’t self right
Nice little boat but one of the batteries is faulty, discharges in about 30seconds. Also does not self right.

Didn’t even get started
Extremely disappointed with this product, throttle stuck on so the propellers were going hell for leather when we first plugged the battery in without touching the control, then would cut out and start intermittently, again without touching the control. Reverse wouldn’t work. Finally, I had to retrieve the boat from the lake we were using the boat on by getting in as the boat was in the water for 10 seconds, the boat cut out, wouldn’t start again and it started to drift into the middle of the lake. Very disappointed.

Perfect for Ponds and Pools
As a child, I used to love the remote controlled boats at the funfair, so I thought this may give me a nice trip down memory lane.I have as yet got to test this somewhere other than the bath because the only open water near me would mean I would be worrying the wildlife. The boat itself is a nice size, actually, I thought it was a little bigger than expected. Most mini remote controlled items I've had have been quite small, mini helicopters and drones for example. This boat is around a foot long. There is no major assembly required, simply charge the two batteries and then insert one, you are then good to go. Fitting the battery is a doddle, simply twist the locking mechanism at the back of the boats cabin on the top, and lift of the cabin. Insert the battery and put the cabin back, being sure to lock it back in place. The remote controller is simple enough to use, a trigger for the speed, and a dial to move the rudder. I like the fact that this comes with two batteries, so fully charged you should get around 10 minutes per battery, give or take. I also like that the speed is up to 20 mph.Everything worked perfectly, it is just the speed I haven't been able to test yet. The controller takes four AA batteries which are included in the box.I am looking forward to finding some suitable water in order to give this a good run and see what it is capable of.

Small size, but well made an professional tech inside.
This little boat is a bit smaller than I expected it to be but, in fairness, 5ye box does state "mini boat" on it.This is well made and has professional looking RC gear inside it. There's a proper steering servo and mini ESC with receiver. The transmitter is full sized and fully functional. It has all the usual adjusters on it and takes 4 X AA batteries. A set Re included, but they're quite light feeling (16g instead of my normal 22g weight ones), so I've opted to install my usual Amazon Basics batteries. This has water cooling for the motor, ensuring it doesn't overheat.I'm quite impressed with this, despite the small size. It's a professional setup and good value for £59.99. I've only tested in the bath for now, but it works well and the controls are responsive. I'll be taking out to a local pool soon, so will update my review once it's had a full run. For now, however, it's impressive and definitely recommended. It's also worth noting that you get 2 X 380mAh batteries included. They're Li-ion, so should get the pro.ised run time, despite the small size.

quality RC speedboat 🚤😊
We got this boast in the blue which makes it highly visible but not too garish even with the go faster stripes. To be honest I thought it would be a bit larger for the money but good things come in small packages and it is quite a comprehensive package including the spare boat battery and AAs for the controller too. In use this boat really flies but the large and intuitive controller helps keep it on the straight and narrow helped by the twin hulls. It is all fully enclosed and we noticed no water ingress on trials at a local park though we didn’t go too mad for fear of disturbing some rather grumpy looking swans and their cygnets. We didn’t need to swap out the battery on that trip either. It was a lot of fun however and we look forward to more water-based japes with this smart bit of kit.
