Great buy!
My son (4-1/2 years old) loved this kind of interactive activity. Some of the activities are still pretty advanced and challenging for him but we work on the easier ones that are in the front of the book and he loves searching for the answer and then flipping over the tiles to see if he got them correct. I also bought the kindergarten math and the Bob books advanced beginners sets because he truly enjoys these activities!! I’ll add a picture later.

Great!
My sons dyslexia tutor uses these with him in addition to the Orton gillingham method. They seem to help a lot and he is progressing!

Super fun for my 6 year old!
My son loves these tiles/workbook. Some of it I think is a bit advanced to do independently in kindergarten so I still have to read allowed to him for some of the pages, but he has a lot of fun with it and never resists learning when I say it’s time for versatiles.

My students really like using VersaTiles
I use the VersaTiles in my special education classroom. I have found that my students of varying abilities really enjoy using them! I have one student in particular who needs a lot of help with reading. She loves to do the activities and then turn over the tiles to check herself. My math kiddos who are a little more advanced enjoy being able to check their work and see how well they did or which problems need to be fixed.

Great idea, complicated learning curve
I'm really split on how many stars. It could go three or four. I love the idea of it, that kids can go through the book and correct their own work. Makes it nice for long car rides. But it was tricky for me to figure out and tricky to explain to my 5 year old daughter. We worked on it together, and got through the first lessons. She knows the material, so that's not the issue, but the learning curve for the system gets in the way. They wanted something complex enough to self-teach, while being compact enough to be highly portable. Yet, as I write this, I just realize this is where smart phones and tablets really shine. It's a good idea, and if you can invest some time in learning it, can be great as a non-screen tool. My daughter did like getting the designs right and it adds and artistic element. But at the end of the day, I'm not sure if it's going to get a lot of use.
