... 70s and early 80s who had the chance to enjoy this movie first hand
A book made for those lucky people born in the late 70s and early 80s who had the chance to enjoy this movie first hand.Lots of anecdotes, explanations of how they made the movie, special effects, sketches, photos, drawings, and lots of small addons among some pages in the shape of small booklets, papers etc related to the movie, such as sketches by Brian Froud, invitations to the premiere etc.

Stunning Book with Scrapbook Extras
There's no escaping the fact that us kids who have loved the Labyrinth for three decades are now in our 40's, and without any doubt we will continue to love the Labyrinth for many more decades to come. For most of us, the film just came out of nowhere yet filled our hearts and minds with the wonderful characters of Jim Henson's fantasy universe, and not least with the mystery and intrigue surrounding its creation. That mystery and intrigue is now finally laid bare in this gorgeous visual history, which contains a beautiful collection of scrapbook extras including pages from Jim Henson's ever-present notebook, production letters and memos, a page from Jim's shooting script covered in his hand-written notes and many more. Make no mistake, this book contains material that has never been seen before, and is an absolute joy to discover.I read the book from cover to cover as soon as I unwrapped it, and it was only my intention to have a quick flick through until I had more time to spare! 100% Recommended to any Labyrinth fan!

A must for any Labyrinth fan in your life
This is a glorious book - if you know someone who loves the film, buy it for them to make them eternally grateful. It's beautifully and cleverly made, full of fun info about the entire film-making journey and includes loads of photos, beautiful artwork by Brian Froud and a film poster as well. A David Bowie fan would probably appreciate it too.

Highly informative
Wow! This book delivers such a lot of information in a really fun, page-turning format, with loads of loose leaves amongst the pages, glued by a corner, to add interest. Be careful when first reading/flicking through as some of the glue has spread to facing pages; you can ease them apart without damaging the book, but you do need to be careful. These loose pages are facsimiles of memos, script pages, a party invitation and, at the back, a reproduction poster advertising the completed movie. The foreword is written by Toby Freud, the now grown-up baby from the film.As you would expect from the cover blurb, this is a richly illustrated book that has loads of images from the shooting of the film, as well as storyboard drawings of the action to take place. It really is fascinating, a real page turner and a great gift idea for anyone that is a fan of the movie and/or David Bowie/Jennifer Connelly.
