Biocare Insect Mesh - Ideal For Covering Windows (Grey Mesh 1.2 mt wide)

I'm impressed with the excellent quality of this mesh. I bought it specifically because I want to make my first 'closed' plant terrarium, and need this mesh to provide a false bottom between the soil and gravel drainage base.As the supplier states, this is cut from a 1.2 metre roll, I opted for the standard one metre length. So, for the present price (£5.75 inc free P&P) I received a 1.2 metre x 1.0 metre sheet (47in x 39in approximately). This sheet will last me ages if I only use it for terrariums, but I'm betting I'll find other uses for it. My sheet came folded up into a flat-pack parcel slightly smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, and it was nicely protected in a sealed polythene envelope.Another reviewer mentioned the 'plastic' smell. Given the nature of the material this is to be expected. If it bothers you there is an easy way to deal with the issue. All you have to do is firstly wash the mesh with soap and warm water. Then prepare a half-water half-bleach solution, and allow the mesh to soak in it for about 3 to 4 hours. Later, wash with normal water, and you should notice that the odor is gone. 😊Given the quality, price and quick delivery, I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Following a visit to our cousins in Florida, and spending a lot of time eating and just sitting out on their covered verandah, with no worries of flies or mosquitos, (they call it a lanai,” I developed “verandah envy.”I bought this mesh to make an insect proof verandah back here in the UK.I bought the grey colour which is somehow less noticeable that the white, but doesn’t Bloch the light.It was a great success. Really easy to cut with good kitchen scissors, (I didn’t want to use my good sewing scissors). I simple attached it to the wooden frame with a staple gun. The wind blows through the mesh, but it somehow does reduce the wind.Everyone is really impressed with the mesh, and the resultant verandah.Other mesh comes folded where it has been cut from a roll, but it flattens out really easily.Be careful to cut it straight, follow a line in the mesh, if you haven’t got any where you can spread it out to draw a line, use a fine needle and thread and baste across the width to give yourself a straight cutting line.Great product.

My garden is wildlife friendly so this year has been full of flying insects. I run a small bakery and jam production kitchen so have to keep insects out. I also like to sleep with windows wide open, but want to avoid mosquitoes Cheaper nets I have bought in different years tend to rip and look untidy. This mesh is much stronger. and virtually clear when in place.I think it would be helpful to have suggestions on the best way of fixing the nets. I have needed to improvise solutions with different tapes for different surfaces. Some of these may need some adjustment.

Perfect for metal gates at front of my house to stop leaves blowing onto my drive works a treat ,attached with black cable ties look ok.

I bought this to put on my bathroom small window as it's open all the time it works well doesn't let any thing in the holes are very small.i also put it up on my guinea pig hutches so the flys don't bother them it works very well its well worth the money you get a lot.

Ordered a mtr of this flysceen, came after a few days, it's a pretty durable material, cut to size with scissors, removed old flysceen mesh from a flyscreen door and fitted new piece, worked perfectly

There is nothing to dislikeI used it to cover my aquarium on the hot summer days , taking off the original lid.The mesh can be easily cut with scissors to acquire the correct size . Even though its supposed to be useful for keeping out midge's and other unwanted bugs.It's perfect for covering my aquarium which is 4ft by 2ft by 2ft.Will defo by again .
