First Dive into Fluoride-Free – And I'm Amazed!
I've always used traditional fluoride toothpaste, but recently, I decided to explore fluoride-free options. After some research, the Boka Fluoride Free Toothpaste with Nano Hydroxyapatite caught my eye, largely because of the science behind n-HA and its promise for sensitive teeth. To be honest, I was pretty unsure what to expect from a toothpaste without fluoride – would it truly clean as well? Would my teeth feel protected?Right off the bat, the "Refresh Mint" flavor was definitely something I had to get used to. It's a different kind of mint compared to what I'm accustomed to with conventional toothpastes – less aggressive, perhaps more natural. After a few uses, though, it really grew on me, and now I actually prefer its clean, subtle freshness. But the real surprise came with the effectiveness. I am genuinely astonished by how well this toothpaste performs! The Nano Hydroxyapatite (n-HA) seems to work wonders. My teeth feel incredibly clean, smooth, and robust after brushing, and I've experienced a noticeable reduction in sensitivity – a huge relief I wasn't entirely expecting from a fluoride-free product. It feels like my enamel is getting the support it needs. For my first foray into fluoride-free oral care, Boka has set an incredibly high bar. Despite the initial adjustment to the flavor, the tangible results in terms of cleanliness, strength, and sensitivity relief have completely won me over. If you're considering making the switch or just curious about what a fluoride-free option can do, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Boka a try. This toothpaste has truly exceeded all my initial expectations!

So happy 🥹
I was using Fygg and unfortunately that toothpaste discolored my teeth. It wasn’t super obvious but when I would examine my teeth closely I had nasty discoloring. It looked like gray stains maybe caused by coffee and not brushing but I don’t drink coffee, and obviously I brush. My fiancé felt bad for me so he bought this Boka whitening toothpaste for me and y’all, it’s been less than a week and the discoloration is completely gone!! 🤩 I’m SO happy!! Plus this stuff tastes way better than Fygg and leaves your mouth feeling fresh, Fygg does not.Btw here is Fygg’s explanation:Please be assured that this occurrence is rare and typically resolves on its own within 1 to 3 months.Let's dive into the why...When transitioning to a natural toothpaste like Fygg, your oral microbiome — the community of beneficial bacteria in your mouth — undergoes a period of adjustment. This shift can sometimes lead to temporary discoloration as the microbiome stabilizes.

BEST TOOTHPASTE EVER!
I'm in love with this toothpaste. Someone recommended it and I thought I'd give it a shot. I first found it at Sprouts and was happy to see I could grab it from Amazon if need be.You use this toothpaste a little differently by not wetting your toothbrush or rinsing afterwards. I thought it would bother me, but I honestly don't even care as much as I thought I would. My sensitivity is gone, even after using Sensodyn for a while. It tastes great! My son has been using this toothpaste for the last few months and had a cleaning today. The dentist was impressed with his teeth. Me and him are those people who floss, use mouthwash, and brush every day and still have cavities. He had the best report he's ever had. I can't wait to hear what my dentist thinks.

Yay for the Ela Mint, less so for the Charcoal Yuzu Mint
I have now tried two of the Boka toothpastes: The Ela Mint, and the Charcoal Yuzu Mint. This review really covers both of those, as they appear to be varieties of the same product. Overall, I like this toothpaste and I *think* it's doing a good job, but since I have not been to the dentist for a checkup since starting this toothpaste a couple of months ago, I can't say for sure. So I can speak to how it feels... Both varieties make me teeth feel clean. The Ela Mint has a nice minty freshness, which stays in your month for awhile after a brush. I like it - it's not too minty, but not too weak. The Charcoal Yuzu Mint, I must say, is not my favorite. The issue with the Charcoal variety is that you really don't get much foaming action when brushing, it's vary flat. And, you get almost no mint flavoring at all, so afterwards you feel like you want to follow it up with something minty - but, you don't want to, because the Nano Hydroxyapatite is most effective when left on your teeth after brushing. In short, I like the Ela Mint quite a bit, and though I like charcoal toothpastes in general, I don't really care for this particular kind because it doesn't leave a nice, fresh feeling.

Flavors and Preferences
The science behind why we purchased this, fluoride free as well as enamel support, are undeniable so my review is more about preference between the flavors. We first bought the Uzu mint because of the properties surrounding charcoal to enhance whitening but the mint flavor is very light. It doesn’t feel minty fresh which is what we prefer in a toothpaste. We then tried the Ela mint which offered much more of a refreshing and mint flavor but did not emphasize whitening as much. We feel like the Refresh mint is the perfect happy medium. Not only does it emphasize and highlight whitening but it has a decently strong and refreshing mint flavor and aftertaste as well as the added bonus of more froth and suds. The others seemed sort of light in that department.
