Thermalright HR-09 2280 PRO Black SSD heatsink, Double-Sided Heat Sink, with Thermal Silicone Pad for M.2 SSD PC and Computer,Desktop High Performance SSD Cooler

Replacing the stock metal cover on my board, I got a drop of 13C at idle and 19C at load. This does its job, can't beat it for the price. I got the Pro in black and it looks slick. I did not want any logos nor did I want to have a chrome sticking out in my build. I would buy again for sure.

I don't know how necessary this thing is...but what I do know is, I love how it looks and my PC temps are top tier. I feel like the bigger and faster NVME drives get...the more happy I will be I bought a few of these...

This heatsink works well without being too heavy or large and without a noisy fan. I replaced an older, heavier heatsink that worked well enough but this heatsink dropped my gen 4 NVMe SSD temps by another 8-10 degrees F and now even under stress testing it stays nice and cool.I recommend this heatsink BUT, using with a big air cooler might have clearance problems. No problems with a liquid cooler...

Drive is a Lexar NM800PRO 2TB running at full PCIe 4.0 speed (over 7100 at last check tested SEQ1M @ Q8T1 on Windows 10). Using HWiNFO64 version 7.46 there are 4 sensors, the hottest (probably for the ASIC controller) after 1 hour of web surfing (idle as it is my #3 drive, not Windows 10 & boot drive) temp was 45 decrees C, after one round of CrystalDiskMark temperature rose to 51C. Room temp at time of testing was 19.4 degrees C (or ~67F), computer case is a CoolerMaster HAF using three 200mm and one 120mm fans (good air flow).A possible problem is the height as it will not fit under the GPU (video card), you will need to factor that in as to where on the motherboard to use it.

This ssd cooler fits nice, cools well, and looks great and shiny. How well it cools I'm not sure because my ssd was thermal throttling fast before this. SSD being above the video card does not help SSD temps at all. I know I needed something big to cool the SSD. Now temps don't go above 63C ever. Before it would go to 72C after 2 min. Beware how big this is. On my system it barely cleared my CPU cooler.

From 60c to 30c and steady 32c! They make a black one that I'm gonna get next. Reasonable price too!

Wonderful heatsink. If your temp gets higher than 65 C under any conditions you should use this. My 4 tb 3rd gen was hitting 74C plus when backing up files to it, but after installing this heatsink it stays under 44 C. One added advantage is it looks really cool!

This thing is fantastic. I should have gotten the double stacked version since I have the room, but I highly recommend getting this. Only downside is that it is not as stug of a fit as it should be. I might need to get another strip of thermal tape to ensure a good contact. It slides too easily as it it. Minor grievance, but one worth living with. Get it!
