Great unit and does exactly as required in cooling the indoor space. As my windows are the tilt and turn type I bought this knowing I would need to either install a tumble dryer type vent in the wall or as I was hoping and praying for I could vent the hot air out via the letterbox opening in door. A slight alteration to the supplied fishtail and this can now easily be inserted into my letterbox opening thus expelling hot air outside without any alterations required. Ok if someone comes to door I need to turn off unit and remove hose but this is not an issue as I would turn it off anyways if I was opening door and letting the warm air back inside.

Bought this after our son and his girlfriend bought one so knew what was expected.No, it’s certainly not silent running but when the heat is unbearable, you can tolerate the lovely cool air this unit produces.Little frustrating that the exhaust hose is a little short and could have done with another 500mm to make reach out of the window easier, and annoying that it only has the option for a sash window attachment for the outlet, considering the majority of windows now open outwards.That being said, we new what to expect so bought this with our eyes open.Reasonable price for the btu and hope time will tell how reliable the unit is?

Between the short power cable and the short extract hose, good luck finding a window and plug socket combination in the room you want to use this in. They have majorly cheaped out here. Why? I can't be the only one who has had this problem. It's also really loud. Just provide a decent length hose, it is essential kit afterall. Overall, a negative experience so far.

We needed a new portable air conditioner to replace our fading 12-year-old unit. After carefully researching the market we chose this model. We're very pleased - it removes humidity and keeps almost the whole house cool.

Do not buy! This AC is extremely loud on the lowest setting so it would be noisy and annoying to sleep with. This only has two speed options with the lowest speed being too powerful and noisy. The "sleep mode" is rubbish and is only there to sound fancy. All it does is just dim the lights and turns the sound off when pressing the buttons.The remote is pointless as it will not work more than 3 meters away and it has no screen telling you what settings you are on.

My dad bought this and it's very effective tho it may take up to an hour to cool an entire medium sized room but it does make room extremely cool in the end and you can feel the difference .since it's a portable AC there will be noise but at least you won't have to cope with the heat and humidity .
