The cheapest option to try the new tech
The media could not be loaded. First things first, this is pretty small. This is to be expected based off of the size given in the description but in every way it's pretty small. The lights and board are very low form factor and the base is only an inch wide and tall. When you first plug it in it has quite a few demo videos that automatically start playing and definitely show off the capabilities. It's bright enough to be seen in a room with the lights on and it looks even better with the lights off. The color range isn't amazing so videos with gradients or realistic shadows tend to struggle. The space between the LEDs is visible up close but from more than 5 ft away it becomes pretty hard to see.The software is a bit odd to get going because it's stored on the included SD card and then you need to put it on your PC and run it as an application. I couldn't get the Android app to work though. The PC software is old and somewhat clunky, but once you figure it out it's pretty easy to convert the videos to the proper format. There isn't really too much else to say other than it's cool to have videos seem like they're floating in the air rather than just on a screen. I will say that the blacks do get crushed a bit when being converted but that's a good thing because that means it's completely transparent once on the spinner. So if you've seen videos of these types of devices, this is definitely the cheapest and easiest option to give it a go.

do not buy this if you want it to work longer than 2 days
i bought this thinking this would be a cool edition to my room. well i buy it, try and follow the instructions on the phone method and it just doesnt work. no worries, i try and use the micro SD to decode videos and display them on the fan. it works and i try to hang it on my wall only to notice it did not come with things to fasten to the wall. i guess it comes separate. so i just tape it onto the wall as a temporary fix. the tape worked just fine anyways. i turn it on, and not even a half hour later, the thing just stops. its still plugged in and receiving power, and when i unplug it and plug it in, it works for 2 minutes before breaking again. this ting just flat out stole my money and it cost so much just for it to not work. dont buy this unless you want to have fun for like thirty minutes.

You pay for what you get.
Great little hologram prop for cosplay purposes or if you want to play around a hologram fan.

Stopped working after about a week and would just go through the colors.
Even though it would just go through the colors it looked really cool when you shake it! I actually had a great time with this at a music festival because it looks so cool and I learned out to dance with it. Unfortunately it was stolen but I'm going to be buying another one as soon as I can afford it.

Very cool if you set your expectations.
This is a very vibrant and nifty little 2D image projector. Now I knew it was 2D going in but I feel like it is worth repeating, this is not 3D! The image it produces is flat. With that expectation however this thing is awesome. I got it for my dad for Christmas and he loves it. After I taught him how to use it he now has it set up as a clock with his favorite sports team's logo in the center (I would show a photo but my cameras shutter speed doesn't match the rotational speed of this device so it can't really capture it). My only complaint is it's use of Wi-Fi to connect. My dad is pretty competent when it comes to tech, understanding how to do Bluetooth setup for other devices, however being 60 now, local device Wi-Fi connection was a bit too advanced for him. He understands it after I taught him and the app otherwise was completely intuitive to him so props on that! We both thought for a future model perhaps a Bluetooth connection instead, or even better, in addition to the Wi-Fi connection. It wouldn't cost too much to add to the device and I would gladly pay an extra $5 for the convenience of him not having to go to his phone settings every time he wants to connect. Overall though very happy with it, made my dad's Christmas better!

Just buy it
I bought this 3d hologram fan for my son. It’s been over a year and counting. It’s still working. I love it.

Beware
First the Android app is not available on the play store so you have to download from the manufacturer link. Android phones prohibit app install from unknown sources unless you switch off the protection. I used an old unused phone for safety. Worked great until I uploaded my own image file. Still lites and spins but it's stuck with a crazy wierd pattern and won't clear.I copied the PC software from the SD card , extracted the files but I just get error messages when I run the EXE file.
