Wasn't what I expected. There are lots of baby patterns and dk weight patterns but not much choice or variety.I found it disappointing.Perhaps if amazon showed more of the content buyers would be better informed before buying.

From babies to adults there is a sock pattern for everyone. Whether you are a new or an experienced sock knitter there will be a pattern to suit your skills. The majority of patterns are knitted in a 4ply Yarn and some are top down and others are toe up simply choose your preference. Some socks come in two or more sizes which is great when you are knitting for friends or members of the family. The photography is inspiring and gives one a full sense of what the finished sock will look like.Every pattern has an introduction explaining the methods used and how to learn the techniques with links to the back of the book where you will find step by step explanations which are extremely useful.My only criticism is that the adult socks patterns do not cater for various thicknesses of yarn.This is a book to be delved into whenever you feel like adding a new pair of socks to your collection.Monica Russel= Book Reviewer, Knitwear Designer and teacher.
