I use methylcellulose for making paste papers for book arts. It's a thickener for the water that dries transparent, so it doesn't affect the colors you add to it.The stuff that I buy isn't usually cosmetic-grade, so that might explain the difference in the price.This particular product is about 4 times the price that I'm used to paying for methylcellulose.I was asked to rate the "flavor." I wonder if that was a translation issue. No one should be eating this.
