Works well to make tool pouches, was able to sew on my old Singer. Excellent quality, uniform thickness throughout roll, consistent color, nice stiffness to have professional quality finish, pleasantly surprised by superior quality thick felt. Not flimsy or easy to pill.

Hard flat surfaces cause problems when trying to dampen sound and get a clear recording. I was building a recording booth, and wanted to minimize the reflected sound from the wooden shelf I created in the booth. I used this felt to cover that shelf and minimize that reflected sound to keep the recordings clear. It is strong enough to be able to use for a long time to come, and thick enough to dampen the sounds.I recommend this thick felt anywhere you need a sturdy felt covering.
