'Lifesaving' gizmo and a minor miracle.
I've been caught out by a flat battery more times than I care to think. Always carry jump leads in the boot which take up space and get tangled up with everything else. For a while I had a large thing powered by (I think) lead acid accumulators. It worked fine until I had to use it after a couple of years and found it had gone flat and refused to charge up. It was huge, took up most of the boot and ended up in the bin.Recently when abroad in a hire car, I had a flat battery on day one and frustratingly was confined to base.I called the hire company who promised to come immediately and get me going. I rather expected a jeep type vehicle to arrive like the AA but imagine my surprise when a man arrived on a bicycle with seemingly nothing with him. I was about to explode with frustration when the man took a small box about the size of pack of cards and connected it to the battery terminals. "That's never going to work", I thought. Ten seconds later the car was purring like a baby. I could not believe it! I immediately decided I had to have one for home.Checked out Amazon and found this very reasonably priced Yaber unit and thought I'll give it a go.The unit looks great and reassuringly strong with lots of rubber around it to make it drop proof, even bullit proof.Out of the box it was dead, no charge at all. I plugged it into my phone charger and left it to charge up.It took about four hours for it to charge fully (when all the four charging LEDS stop flashing.)I connected the Yaber to the battery terminals to my old car which has been sitting on my drive for the last six months and was as dead as a Dodo. I was still a bit of a doubting Thomas but a couple of turns of the key and the engine burst quickly into life. Job done! Its incredible that something so small can do the job of a weighty car battery, but I assure you it can.Its going to stay sitting in the boot permanently from now and already supplies an aura of confidence that never again will I suffer from a flat battery again. To that end it would have been nice to have a bag to put it and the leads in and keep it all together but thats a minor thing as I can probly find something in the garage anyway. There are a couple of bonus points in that it has a USBA socket which elables you to charge up your phone or anything else rechargeable for that matter and also a powerful torch to light up the night or help if you're looking under the bonnet or whatever else might benefit from the use of a torch. The torch can also flash at different speeds to warn motorists you are there if you are unfortunate enough to break down. The only thing I'll have to watch out for is remembering to check it from time to time to make sure its charged up and keep it at peak performance.I really like it and it seems like essential equipment for any motorist to have to hand at all times.

Fabulous!!
Compact in but Powerful. It started my car straight away and still had nearly a full charge afterwards. Easy to use and easy to recharge using the supplied USB cable, easy to fit in glove compartment. Great value for money.Highly recommended.!!

Amazing piece of kit.
I already have a large, heavy jump starter in the garage and it works great; however, it is too bulky to carry around in the car. I also wanted one that I could use on a motorcycle when touring if necessary and so it needed to be small and lightweight if I was to carry it around on the bike. This does the job brilliantly. I was sceptical due to it's size as it's not much bigger than a phone; the cables actually take up the most space! However, I used this to jump start my daughter's car as she has been away and the car has stood idle for a number of weeks and as a result it had a completely dead battery. This device started the car at the first try. What more can I ask for?Unlike it's larger cousin, this can be carried in the car and kept charged through the USB socket rather than the mains, so again, another great point when you are mobile a lot.As a motorcyclist, this is added to my touring gear due do it's light weight and size (or lack of)! Yes, if I had a flat battery on a bike I could push start it but as a female, push starting an 1100 Virago is not easy!I am already planning on buying one each for my partner and children to keep in their cars. It's that good.

Seems to work, instructions could be better!
I purchased this as a "just in case I need it".. well, I needed it after not using my car for a while, so, I followed the instructions in the booklet *the sane as they say in the ad) basically, connect and go. This didn't work and I needed the other half to jump start mine. However, as I was looking at returning the item, I looked at the actual leads on this thing.. there is some tiny writing and a small button! I stuck my glasses on only to find that you need to press this button when you're connected.. I just had the opportunity to test this out as my car has been left for a while and wouldn't start.. battery was flat! I connected up AND pressed the little button and the car started! Hope this helps all those people saying it doesn't work.. check out the tiny button!!!

Yaber 2000 portable Micro Battery Charger
This is a review for one purchased previously as not used this yet as its a present for my BrotherFab piece of kit - starts Car within spilt seconds and so easy to use it's a doddle Leads are short but shouldn't be a problem - I rest charger by the sideSo pleased with mine and assuming this is the same - a superb purchase Great price I paid a lot more for mine! It is so small well encased - lightweight and good quality must have for any 12 v Car - Petrol or Diesel up to 5500 I think - check booklet - has a powerful light can charge your phone etcI would be lost without mine!

Great gadget. Excellent value for money.
What a brilliant little gadget. Charged it up straight away and it doesn't take long to be fully charged. Used it the next morning to start my friends car that is a big engine diesel that was completely dead to the point the central locking wasn't working and wow it literally started the car immediately. The only downside is that it would be nice if it came with a box or bag to keep it in because the box it's in isn't going to last long. Highly recommend

Works with a Porsche 987 Boxster
This was pretty much the cheapest I could find at £33.99, battery completely dead and it took a couple of tries but it started my 2.6 Boxster which has 6 cylinders so probably a higher starting demand than a normal 4 cylinder car. We have several cars in the family and experience is that jump leads can be faff as you can't always get another car close enough alongside and they don't work all of the time, also the unit is small and just light enough to be useable as a portable charging device so I expect to get a lot of use out of it
