JAMITKnitting Machine, 48 Needles Knitting Loom Machine, Hand Crank Knitting Machines for Adults, Knitting Board Rotating Double Knit Loom Machine Kit (No Electric Function)

The following review is from my first purchase of the Jamit. I mean every word of the first post. It works so well that instead of bringing it to and from my RV to my home. I just had to have another. I also put a counter of both that states suitable for the Addi. Also works for the Jamit! That counter is so very nice. I love both my Addi’s and Jamit’s. What I like best is now I can have a 22 pin, 46 pin and a 48 pin machine. Btw, the Jamit is no louder than the Addi.Read were one of the two review states its noisy. The same amount of noise that the other name brands knitting machines create. The only issue is that some of the needles are not as polished as they should be. Easy fix with those multi sided polishing nail files women use. As you can see in the photo, only errors are on that one needle. I will be polishing that needle and knitting about 5 rows till it's perfect. I do not want to take to much off. I'm going to run that skein of yarn till it makes a perfect stitch. Now all this has happened with two hours of receiving this machine. I do miss a row counter. But somewhere around here is a 3rd party counter. I will survive without a counter. I will count the stitches in an inch and then I will have my stitch count. I'm new to this and this is what I've read. I'm sure it works and I will try to report back in a few months. Loads of YouTube info on the rest. So many things one can make.

Absolute garbage. This machine has multiple shapes of hooks. Half of them will not slip the yarn to complete stitches. Cheap plastic handle broke after 10 minutes.

I am a fan of another brand that has the same color and looks similar, but it is a 46 needle. I needed a 48 needle machine and wasn’t interested in the white/ purple machine so I tried this. Loved it. Cranks a little harder than what I am used to, but still smooth. I just wish it came with a counter.

I went into buying a knitting machine completely blind. I had 0 previous experience and wanted something on the lower cost to learn how to use one. There is 100% a learning curve when using a knitting machine. If you have no patience or expect a masterpiece on the first turn, this isn't for you. It took me MANY trial and errors to learn how to use this machine. I also had to watch youtube videos for guidance learning how to cast on, how to make a panel, casting off, etc.Once I learned how to properly hold tension and make panels, it was a piece of cake to maneuver. I have nothing else to compare it to since it's my first knitting machine but it DOES work as intended. I would not call it a "piece of junk". It does what it advertises.Now, even with my inexperience, there are some things that I can say are negative about this machine. The handle is not very good on the hands. It's an unusual shape and makes turning somewhat awkward at times. The handle also pops off from time to time but there is a screw that just needs to be tightened to prevent it from coming off. There also isn't a counter on this knitting machine. I bought a manual one (which I do not mind), and it has helped with row counting.Overall, I would say if you are a patient person and are willing to learn before giving up, it's not a bad machine. Definitely purchase with an open mind and willingness to watch videos to learn.

There is no counter to count the rows. While cranking I need to hold the machine down with the other hand because it shakes too much. Suction cups would be better than the legs and the hooks that came with the machine are useless because I have nothing to bolt them to. The fixed plastic tension bar sucks because I just know it'll break off easily if I'm not careful. I am still able to make hats with this but not easily.

Update, 2nd review. Loose tension is imperative. I hold it in my left hand hand, do not use the loop tension guide, & have a loose pile of yarn to feed the machine. Also some of the catching yarn was due to plastic nubs from the factory molding on the red stitch nibs. I used an emery board, with a very light feather touch to smooth out the rough spots as I noticed when turning. The stitches have to slide off the red nibs, if not push them down. While turning I could see where it was catching & not sliding off the red nibs, just like a fingernail snag on yarn when knitting or crocheting. Once I loosened my tension & filed down the rough snags it now works beautifully. I have high hopes to be able to finish my volunteer project. Also, a big tip, don't give up, watch YouTube videos & know this machine does not knit by itself. You have to pay attention to it as you turn the crank. It was great for the first 4 hats then it became difficult to turn handle until the 3rd round, it skipped stitches, it was all the same quality of yarn so that's not it.

I had previously made a hat using the more expensive name brand machine that a friend had. I thought about getting one for years but couldn't justify the expense at nearly $200 and some of the other imitations just didn't get very good reviews. This loom looks JUST like the more expensive brand. The brand name loom I tried dropped several stitches and was noisier than this one! I couldn't wait to try it, and opened it in the car in the parking lot where I picked it up from the Amazon locker. I put the feet and tensioner on, stuck the feet over the steering wheel and started cranking. I made this hat in less than 30 minutes with the yarn they provided which is very fuzzy cheap acrylic yarn. I set the machine on the loosest tension. Not one snag, not one dropped stitch. Totally worth the money! Next, I'll try it out using different types of yarn to see how it does and post updates.

It is not what I expected, the stitches run, it does not work with all threads. It supposedly runs on batteries and the parts inside are missing. I do not recommend it, it is rubbish.
