"What's an abelskiever?"
"An opel skoober?" "No ! An abelskiever." "avel scoopver?" "No ! Abelskiever." I can't believe that I am this old, and just discovering abelskievers. This is the best most magical pan, and now most coveted kitchen item. Abelskievers are a treasure. Everyone should know about them. The pan comes with 2 "fondue" sticks, for turning the abelskievers, and also a rubber brush for buttering the pan before pouring the batter. The rubber did melt a tiny bit at the end though. Maybe the heat was too high. The seven "divots" are better than the pans that have twelve, because it takes a while to turn all the abelskievers. If you had more than seven, some of them might burn, or you might forget which ones you already turned. This is a sturdy pan, and heats fast. The handle is also metal, so you have to use a pot holder. I can't believe this is my first abelskiever pan ever. How did I live my life without abelskievers til now? I love this pan.

Cast iron round pancake skillet
My grandkids and their parents love for me to make bite-sized pancakes in this skillet. After using, I wipe clean and occasionally rub with oil to keep the surface non stick.

Good pan
I made Ebiyaki for the first time, using this pan. I love the heavy cast iron! Make sure to oil it well, to get a crusty outside and creamy inside. The picks that came with the purchase arrived bent.😞 This slight disappointment does not affect my satisfaction with the pan’s performance.
