These do exactly what you expect them to. I would say a medium thickness, much sturdier than the typical sheet protectors that go into a binder, but less thick of course than say a plastic notebook cover. I hope this is helpful but I'm afraid I sound like an idiot. The packaging leaves a bit to be desired so your first 1 or 2 and your last 1 or 2 in the pack will likely be dinged or scratched but there are so many in the pack that it doesn't matter.
