Easy to use and store, works great and compact

Perfect for rock hounding and digging. I love this little shovel. It folds up small to throw in a bag and is super durable. Used it a the mines when we went rock hounding and it was the main tool I used.

I'm updating my review after working out the issues I had in the beginning. Once past receiving what seemed to be a return, the company helped me and made things good. They do stand by their guarantee.This is a compact shovel, pick, hammer (using the shovel head) and saw all in one. It's collapsible, portable and perfect for those who need to pack light for hiking trails, gardening, scouts, and survival needs. I like it comes with a nylon case you can attach to your backpack on the trail.It's durable but not for heavy use. If you are digging to put in tent stakes, vegetable plants, removing fire ring ashes, and tent leveling, it does the job. The pick can help loosen up dirt, maybe dig for fossils and light use but I'm unsure of heavier picking.For me, the fire ring cleaning, mini gardens (my traveling vegetable garden), and tent stakes, this is perfect. I plan to visit a few fossil areas and put the pick to use.The belt loop should be reinforced with extra seams for those that will use this daily on the trails. I can't say how well it will hold up since I'm an occasional hiker but just looking at it, I think that could use an improvement.

I need to do a little digging in a crawlspace and there was not much room and this small shovel made it easy to do.

The shovel is very solid with solid weight. I can tell when I pick up a tool by the feel of it this is a solid tool. I haven't used it yet but I'm very confident bought another one so I have one in each of the two vehicles. Used to own a military folding shovel. I lent it out never got it back. Been meaning to get another one for over 30 years. Now I have two.

Overall a great shovel for camping. It was used for building a fire pit and for going the the bathroom. It is collapsible which is nice for storage. and comes with a cover to put it in when its collapsed which is nice because one of the edges is sharp.

They stated 18", but I expected a shovel size similar to those seen in military surplus stores, but its small and more suited to planting large potted plants than moving much earth.Quality seems to be there.I'm going to keep it for use on my adventure bike for putting out my camp fire, trips in nature, etc.
