Q: much does it weigh without stuff in it? For both carry on and Check in 24, 25 inch.

It's around 9lbs which is alot if you limited on weight another reason I returned it for a lighter suitcase.

Q: Is the lock metal or plastic?

The outside part of the lock is metal, but only the outside, the latch part under the metal is a plastic and I don't trust that and I returned the one I bought and got a mixi suitcase witha zipper.

Q: Is the round latch all metal?

No it's not metal it's a plastic and the part of the latch is plastic too. I returned it, I don't trust plastic parts

Q: How secure are the push button locks? Do they seem sturdy?

Seems pretty sturdy. One can only hope! Haha
