Brilliant book
This really didn’t disappoint after jumping straight in after finishing the prequel.I loved the FMC Winslow, she id the newly appointed as Chief of Police in Quincy, she has a “simply” one night stand with the hit Griffin, they both thought they were from different towns making a hock up easy, little do they know 😉Winslow has to win over the locals, some thinking she got the job due to her grandfather being the well loved Mayor. The town is rocked by yet another suicide, a string of those being young women found at the base of Indigo Ridge, on Griff’s ranch. Winslow is not convinced the death is suicide and starts to dig deeper. Spending so much time around the Ridge means a lot more time around Griff, they soon start a steamy no strings attached non relationship.I loved the twists and turns the investigation took, leading to a shocking discovery that I did guess just before it was confirmed yet it didn’t take away my love for the book. The biggest and most enjoyable part of the book was the romance that built between Winslow and Griff, it made my heart melt and I found myself willing them on very early on.I’m looking forward to following more of the Eden’s in the next book.

Small town suspense
Reread and listen. This book has romance and suspense and I was not able to predict who the actual murderer was. I enjoyed the character development between Winn and Griffin and the introductions for the the rest of the Eden family. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. The audio is in dual style and Vanessa and Jason did an amazing job at narrating.

True blue love!
Thank you Devney Perry for a totally mesmerising read. I was hooked from the very first page, feeling all the emotions from laughter to horror to happiness. Griffin and Winslow are true couple goals with their chemistry and the way they interact and fall in love. The story takes you by surprise (in a good way) but also has twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end!I'm so excited for the next book - thank heavens I waited for them all to be out so I could binge read the series!

Get me a one way ticket to Quincy, Montana!
In typical Hannah fashion, I didn’t even read the synopsis for this; I had no idea what it was about except that it was based in a small town and there was a sexy, grumpy cowboy mentioned. So when the dead body showed up, I was shook.I enjoyed this book a lot. Winn is the new chief of police and having to investigate the death, despite advice from many in the small town that she should just leave it alone. I like that she fought for it, even though it didn’t make settling into her new home easier. It had me on the edge of my seat at some points, and I definitely didn’t see the ending coming. I wasn’t sure if I was more invested in the who did it or Griffin (I think it was both).I loved the way Winn and Griffs relationship built up from strangers to friends with benefits to so much more. And the fact that they didn’t let their different views compromise their relationship or vice versa. We love a man who communicates 😌 honestly, Griffin had me swooning on multiple occasions 😮💨It was a great balance of interesting plot, lovable characters and great world building - mentioning the rest of the Eden family and setting them up for their books

small town romantic suspense
3.5 stars This is the first book I’ve read by this author, it’s been on my tbr list for a while. I’m a big fan of romantic suspense and small town romance so this had the best of both worlds for me. Winslow was making a fresh start in the small town where her grandfather lived and she visited as a child. Even though she had family ties to the town she was still considering an outsider. On her first night in town she has a one night stand with Griffin who she doesn’t think lives in town and he thinks she’s a tourist. It turns out she is the new Chief of Police and his family practically own the town. Neither want a relationship, but they can’t seem to stay away from each other. When a body is found it looks like another young woman has committed suicide, but Winslow isn’t so sure. Her investigation causes some friction between them and puts some strain on their relationship which both are reluctant to call a relationship. I found the mystery a little lacking, the big reveal was very sudden, I would have liked more of a lead up. We learned a fair bit about Winnie’s back story, but not an awful lot about Griffin, maybe this is because he lived a fairly quiet life before he met Winnie? Overall I did enjoy the story and will definitely read more in the series.
