I bought this to go onto my new Metal hose reel, and buying if longer, allows me to as some say, connect it back wise (LIKE EXTENION LEAD REELS) and walk the trolley round my house instead of through it like my shorter one/previous one, plus being that like tallow glow colour it is also obvious to others who walk round the block too, [plus it unlike my older one feel lot lighter when you use it, as my former hose swells up when its got water flowing through it, but this is ideal for connecting to my garden tap which is directly onto my mains supply and allows me to walk round my block and helps me neighbour too by reaching her garden too which in turn has helped us both with us both being registered disabled in one way or the other,for everyday usage, this hose is perfect and does the jobs its mend for, (car washing with pressure washer and watering gardens.)yes it may kink from time to time, but after couple uses this has gotten better. once newness/stiffness has worn off.

Heavy duty, great length, ideal for all the jobs around my garden and property. The best hose I've had to date. Delighted with my purchase and the service received.

Good price, kinks at times

A really good strong hose. Next to no chance to tangle or kink it. However connecting sometimes tough as centre has a tight tolerance and hose construction means not much give.

Solid Hose but Poorly Packaged – Early Signs of Wear Could Be a ConcernI tested this Draper 50m Garden Watering Hose (model 56315) today and while it seems to be a solid product with a durable feel, my experience so far has been mixed.First, the good:The hose itself feels robust thanks to its reinforced polyester yarn and thick PVC design. The 2mm wall thickness gives a reassuring weight and durability that suggests it’s built to last, and 50m offers generous reach across the garden. Once laid out and flowing with water, it performs well—no leaks, decent flexibility, and good pressure handling.However, I ran into significant issues straight out of the box. The hose arrives tightly coiled and twisted, and unfortunately, it is not anti-kink. It took considerable effort to untangle it for first use, and even then, it retained memory from its packaging. More concerning, there are two large twist marks in the hose, which I’ve documented and attached as images. These twists appear to have caused minor deformities in the structure, and I’m worried that over time, these areas could become weak points, prone to frequent kinking or eventual failure.At this price point (£40), I expected better packaging and some form of kink-resistant design. If these twisted spots degrade and lead to a split or loss of performance, I will be contacting Trading Standards under the 12-month warranty.To be clear, this isn’t a negative review—it’s a realistic one. If the hose holds up over time, I’ll be happy to revise my feedback. But based on day one, Draper should consider improving how this product is coiled and shipped, as the early signs are concerning.

It's great value. Garage is quite a way from the house (50m in fact), so buying the usual Hose-lock that I've had in the past was going to be quite expensive - thought I'd give this stuff a whirl and I'm quite happy with it. No bursts, and neighbours have driven over it while it's been in use on a gravel path.

I have bought 3 new hoses in the last year this hose is more robust and i am confident it will last allot longer

I paid a little more for this because of the Draper name, rather than an unbranded product, unfortunately after using the hose just twice it started to leak in a number of places and was 'blowing' along areas of its length as the inner core failed. As a hose only has to do one job, it isn't much use if it leaks. Completely irreparable and is being returned for a refund. Have since ordered a more expensive but well known brand, guess you get what you pay for.I did attempt to contact the Draper customer support dept through Amazon, no acknowledgement or reply was received from Draper at all. Amazon have been as efficient as ever at dealing with the return. My advice would be to avoid this product and Draper as a whole. One star for the product and the same for Drapers lack of customer support!
