Why didn't I ever try this before? I know why, because not one of my recipe books called for it, in fact I'd never even heard of it before... that is until I bought one of Dan Toombs' books of Curry recipes. He uses this himself and recommends mustard oil above all other oils for some of his curries. So I bought some and initially when I smelled it I couldn't smell any mustard but I was about to fry some onions before adding to one of my recipes and used this instead of olive oil. Oh my, what a difference. Still couldn't smell mustard but the difference in taste to my lightly softened chopped onions was remarkable, Dan was right about the difference in the flavour it brings out, I will never use olive oil again in recipes, I'll keep that strictly for salads from now on. I know olive oil is supposed to be healthier for me and I know that I have no idea how healthy/unhealthy for me mustard oil is but it's still a winner for me, I will just have to do some research about fat content good and bad before I get too heavy handed with it. Totally recommend this product.15/9/21 - UPDATE - Uh Oh, just found out that the reason I've never seen or heard of this stuff before is because it's banned in the UK. I've done loads of research as to why and have decided if used correctly it's safe to use, in short, so long as I don't use it neat straight from the bottle every single day it's fine. It HAS to be heated to a high temperature before use and should never be used 'as is' added to food. Heat it up very hot for a minute, then you can fry onions etc in it safely. Don't put on your salads for instance. Don't just take my word for it, do your own research. I'm going to continue to use it because the difference it makes in my cooking is remarkable.

I bought this oil for my some of my indian curries which tastes authentic when cooked in mustard oil, after using this entire bottle, i noticed it says”For external use only “ marked on the front of the bottle. I had tasted bitter taste as well in my curries, but never knew the possible reasons 🤷‍♀️. I have seen reviews of people here saying they are using it for edible purposes and they are going to buy again, i dont know how?, when the company itself says the above. Hope my review helps others 🙏🏻. I am an Indian 🇮🇳 and i know what a pure mustard oil tastes like and its no where close to it .
