No idea but it lasted about a month with regular use and then died with no option of returning. I definitely do not recommend this one.

Q: what are the dimensions of a small pad?

My pad is 19x14 on the outside and 15x9 for the area of the stones. It works wonderfully and even though small, seems to heat my whole body even on the lowest temperature. Other models may be different sizes.

The pad I have is the mid sized and is the size of a small blanket and can be used for larger parts of the body but can also be used for legs. it's too big for arms and necks and such. By the way it's no "calmer" it's just a very effective heating pad.I also have the mini pad which is tapered and only about 5x3 and is good for necks and arms but is bulky when closed and I think the plain mini is a better unit.

Q: What size would you suggest I get for an older tall woman who has excruciating shoulder pain on both shoulders? And how much do these weight?

There are 2 choices that will work depending on how you want to approach it.The Mini pads are small with a 4"x7" heating area so will heat up the top of shoulder well but not extend onto the neck, arm, chest or back area. Also the mini pad has a strap that can go under the arm to hold the pad in place.The small pad has a 10"x15" heating area and can just be laid on top of the shoulder with some of the pad under the back to hold in place if laying or sitting back against something with the heating area also getting some of the back, chest, neck, and/or down the arm some. The small pad is also good for heating the lower back or the upper back area.The weight of both is not really noticeable. Both are quite flexible.No matter which you buy if you like it which you most likely will, you'll probably buy the other soon after. I believe Fank C. was calling (the small pad a medium size) and (the mini pad a small size).
