My son loves it and he's always drumming! These are his starter drums and the portability means he can jam anywhere! The headphones option is perfect it has pretty good sound and payment of programmed music that can easily be customized!

I was unsure how this would be for my 5 year old, but he has been making music since we gave it to him. My husband and I take turns on it as well. Its a really cool gift. And one of the toys we bring on trips. You can charge it and use it anywhere

My son wanted a drum set and this was perfect. Easy to store and doesn’t take up any space. Once he put his headphones on, I hear nothing. Glad he was happy

The included instructions are sparse and badly written, but do pay close attention. One of the one star reviews mentions that the pads are not responsive and miss some hits. The instruction card tells you to adjust the sensitivity by holding Play and using the T+ and T- keys to adjust it between 1-20 with 1 being the most sensitive. In addition, without pressing Play, if you use T- it will also improve the sensitivity greatly. I finally got good results by tapping steadily with a stick and adjusting down the T- key until it started catching every strike. It's also way easier to hit the hi-hat and bass drum using the pedals than trying to hit them on the pads. For a kid's toy with no apparent branding or information, it's not a bad little product, once you figure out how to set it up properly.
