Powerful Linear Actuator
I bought this linear actuator to serve as the engine in a powered sit-stand desk I built. The thing works beautifully. It needs a 10 amp 12V DC power supply to run. I also used a non-momentary double-pole double-throw switch to control the linear actuator. The linear actuator is very quiet when it runs as well.

Received a USED, DAMAGED, MODIFIED unit!!
I was so excited to receive my actuator today. Been working on a project that this is imperative to its operation and it's almost complete. Imagine my surprise when I opened my 6 foot long Amazon box (for a 2 foot actuator) to find an actuator that is not in original packaging, just literally an actuator that was thrown in a box that was big enough to fit a bicycle, with no foam or packing materials at all. After getting the actuator out of the box, the pictures show what I found. I am so angry! I apparently ordered this from a salvage (junk) yard. However, I paid full price for a new actuator and no mention of a used unit was in the description. The screws are rusted and corroded, the housing is scratched and marred, the wiring has been cut, and the mount bushing has been cut (looks like a bandsaw cut)! The good news, it seems to move in and out.Did I already say this, I am so angry!!?

good actuator , no mounts?
i used this as a power angle adjustment on an atv snow plow , luckily im able to fabricate mounting brackets because it does not come with any , but it worked quite well , it seemed to have plenty of power to hold a full blade of snow , and did not take long to fully extend or retract , but i certainly wouldn't want to ram a snowbank with any sort of speed.
