DJI Mini 4 Pro 360° Propeller Guard

I ordered these propeller guards to help me while I was learning how to fly my drone. Be advised that they interfere with the sensors on the drone and obstacle avoidance will be deactivated while attached. They do add a significant weight to the drone thus reducing the available flight time per battery. One thing to remember when these are installed, the drone now weighs more than 249 grams and the drone must be registered with the FAA to fly it, and the extra power battery must be used as this will activate the Remote ID Feature of the Mini 4 Pro drone as also required by the FAA since it now weighs more than 249 grams. One last thing to remember is that these propeller guards are now required by the FAA when flying over people with the Mini 4 Pro due to emergency procedure requirements (new change).

As per the listing, this is a propeller guard, but this is an excellent drone guard also with all round protection. Around 10 crashes so far and the drone is safe.DJI Mini 4 Pro claims it has all round obstacle avoidance. But the feature turns off automatically in low light and various other factors.Cons ...The plastic spokes break very easily. Have a super glue tube nearby.Manufacturer ... Can't you make this using aluminum instead of blow plastic? It will be lighter and cheaper.

WORKS AS EXPECTED, BUT ADDS WEIGHT.THE ADDED WEIGHT SLOWS THE RESPONSE AND REDUCES FLY TIME.I TOOK MINE OFF BECAUSE I USED “ AVOIDANCE FEATURE BELIEVING THE PROTECTION WAS NOT NEEDED.I’M NOT SURE IF I WILL RETUN THES.SO FAR I HAVE FLOWN IN SAFE PLACES.MAYBE AT SOME TIME I WILL PUT THE Protection ON ON FOR MY COMFORT

These did not work at all. As mentioned, you fly straight into a wall, the rear props pull it up in a second (you can't react), and it falls straight down, hopefully not damaging it! After trying that a couple of times, I decided to return it. Then later I said, well I like the concept, so let me try again. I was turning into a hall and hit the 90-degree corner with the front of the guards. Here there is NOT enough protection for the propellers. Banged the gimble and broke both the propellers. Luckily the gimble was OK. OK, definitely going back now! It's just designed poorly. No way you can prevent the drone from tipping up when the front is pushing on something, and with rotated 90 degrees up, it just falls to the floor. I don't see how it can possibly work. As you may have read, others have the same problem.

The DJI Mini 4 Pro 360° Propeller Guard is an excellent addition to my drone kit! It's incredibly easy to install, and it provides full protection without adding much weight to the drone. The 360° coverage ensures that the propellers are well-guarded during flights, especially in tight or tricky environments. It gives me peace of mind, knowing my drone is safer from potential bumps or crashes. The guard doesn't affect the flight performance at all, which is a huge plus. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to protect their drone!

While it fits and works fine, use disables some security object avoidance features!

it doesn’t quite fit perfectly, but it does fit really well. It adds some weight but the added protection makes it worthwhile, especially when you’re flying the drone for your young son who absolutely loves anything that goes zoom! I would definitely recommend getting it. Installation is not a piece of cake, but it also doesn’t take very long. It just doesn’t fit perfectly within the mid frame section as it rises a little bit, but I’ve fumbled with this thing for a while getting it into the notches that it is supposed to and it does fit into the notches and it does do what I bought it for so I am overly impressed. It is saved my aircraft from multiple trees, sidewalks, and around the house beatings it doesn’t mess with the overall functionality of the aircraft either that I’ve noticed thus far.

Works great, snaps on in seconds, only adds a little bit of weight while it saves your props and drone when flying indoors from crashing into things in tight areas.
