These retractable ink pens aren't a bad deal for what you get. They have a comfortable rubber grip that helps when writing for an extended period of time. The medium point makes it good for jotting down notes or writing addresses on envelopes. The large pack makes them convenient to stash in all the places I might need one. The ink itself is easy to read and write with, but they have a little trouble getting started sometimes, even after the first initial use, I have to scribble a little bit to get them started most the time, a minor nuisance but still noteworthy, pun intended. The retractable feature works great and they don't have any issues going in or out or staying in the position you left it, even in my pocket or work apron. Overall these are pretty decent and useful.

These pens are smooth flowing.

It probably sounds weird to get so specific about an ink pen, but for those of us who still regularly write by hand, the details matter. This is a perfectly nice little retractable point pen with a nice shade of blue ink for general use. Its one problem is a biggie, however.You know how when you first buy a new package of pens, it sometimes takes a few moments to get the ink flowing? You have to do that scribble thing on some scrap paper before you can write? It's no biggie when the pens are new, because you figure they've been stored and shipped and whatever and just need some time to get their "flow" back.The problem is that I'm having this issue repeatedly with these pens whenever I set one down for more than an hour or so. Once they're writing, they're fine for what they are. When I need a pen, however, and grab one to write a quick note or update my planner or fill out paperwork, I've been repeatedly thwarted by the pen not being ready to write. That's a deal-breaker for me. It doesn't really matter what a bargain pens are if they don't fulfill their primary function - writing when you need them without having to fight with the pen every time.Next time I'm spending the extra dollar or two to try something else.

This is a very useful pack of 18 pens. I can never find a pen when I need one – hopefully these will fix that problem (at least for some time. They are packed in a blister pack which protects them well during handling. I hate getting inside these things – they cut my fingers and are not ecologically friendly – but that’s just me! The pens are nicely made using a simple design using a sprung narrow plastic ink tube and nozzle – much like the early ball point pens were designed. I like the triangular finger grip – this was surprisingly comfortable.The quality of written text was just okay. The ink was applied a little unevenly. The pens were very fussy about the paper surface – they had problems in writing on anything with a glossy surface or paper that had been frequently handled. There were no blotches or irregularities in the text. Running a finger across just-written text didn’t cause any smearing.For regular day-to day use, these pens will be just fine - there’s a lot of pens here and they come at a great price.

The first package of pens didn’t write. Hoping the replacement is better.Update. Replacements also do not write.

I had gotten these for my son in college. He is always asking me for pens and note pads, even though he typically uses an ipad. He said that he liked these pens. He found them very smooth to write with and easy to hold and control. I hope that this helps.

I'm not too picky about pens, but I've been using the free ones from work for too long. These are a perfectly serviceable retractable pen with good ink output, no leakage, and a comfortable shaft. Suitable for all sorts of writing, though it's worth noting 1.0mm is a bit thicker than the average ballpoint tip. Not a problem for me, but those wanting especially thin pen lines should look elsewhere.

My kids are always taking my pens and I am quite particular with what I prefer to use. The value of the set was perfect for me to pick up to have stashed all over the house and even have extras in my purse to load out when necessary and not worry about giving up my favorite pen at any point in time. They write smoothly and are comfortable to hold.
