Overall a very nice butter knife, gave several as gifts. Nice quality, great value, easy to clean, however I cannot get butter to curl through the holes like the video. It probably needs to be the perfect temperature. When could, it doesn't curl. This is why I docked one star.

I saw these knives when they first came out years ago and sold for an outrageous amount. I felt they were priced too high so I passed them by. When I saw these at a reasonable price, I went for them and I'm happy with my purchase! We are a breakfast family so we use these knives daily. I like the paddle tip and of course, the holes to scoop the cold butter. The serrated edge is handy too. Others have stated that the knife is too large, but we haven't found its size to be an issue. I'm very happy with the design and the price. I purchased two sets so I have enough when company comes over since I make homemade bread frequently.

Thought these would be a great addition to my kitchen gadgets, but I was mistaken. They are a great knife but it didn't work ... either from a stick of butter or a tub of butter ... kept because its a sturdy knife but the holes didn't work.

The knives are good - excellent quality of material, easy to clean and to use - but I expected something really special from the description; they aren’t. The holes which supposedly would make it easier for spreading cold and hard butter, don’t do that at all, and actually it’s even more difficult to spread the butter than stays in the bigger hole. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but nobody else in the family got the point of the holes. And the serrated part is so small that it makes it even harder to use. So no. Not worth buying them.

I like how these work with room temp butter and also for spreading mayonnaise. If you use a lot of butter these are for you.
