Badass stove. Heater probably not.
Love it once I figured out proper pressure for low/med/high flame. It's a bit touchy.

Versatile and looks good
I got this stove/heater mainly to use as a stove. It works great, the quality is great too. Seems pretty durable, and since it’s fairly lightweight, I don’t mind taking it with me on camping trips that I have to pack light for. As a stove, it’s great. Gets hot pretty fast, and the legs don’t give from the weight of whatever I’m cooking. I’ve used cast iron pots on this without problem. As far as using it as a heater, maayyyybe for late spring or early fall. This isn’t going to keep you warm on a chilly night.

Fire-Maple Sunflower Portable Heater Camping Stove: Decent, but Not Ideal
The media could not be loaded. The Fire-Maple Sunflower Portable Heater Camping Stove is alright for its price, but there are better options out there. It's handy for cooking but falls short on serious heating, especially in cold weather. If you're looking for a reliable heater that can handle chilly conditions, you might want to explore other options.

Very nice little heater, and cooktop if desired
This little thing actually puts out a lot of heat. It can easily be used to heat your tent, or any small space really, or even cook on. It connects very easily to the can of fuel, and if you have adapters can be used with multiple types of fuel. It is easy to adjust, set up and use. Overall, this little heater is a great option, especially if you are limited on space. This one is very compact, and comes with its own carrying case. Even the fuel canister that uses don't take much space. Highly recommended.

Cool in theory but has some flaws
Flaw 1 you can’t use stainless steel.Flaw 2 the grill constantly comes out if you move it around. If it’s hot from use this could be a problem.

Good piece of equipment.
Used this in my hut at work that I sit in on breaks at work. Gives out a good amount of heat. Use it standing or hanging. Not used it to cook with yet but can't see that being a problem. Nice piece of kit. The regulator on the connection is easy to use and good range.

My Experience 2 week experience with the Sunflower
Used on a 12 day thru hike so I could get a good experience of it. My other half had a traditional gas stove with her and I did bring my Soto gas stove too, just in case.Advantages=========Provided a good source of heat when we needed to dry kit on clothes line in tent.Really works well with the Fire-Maple Nonstick Camping Frying Pan, simmering, slow cooking, wide heat source, perfect for frying food. When we happen across a shop at the end of the day we would purchase dinner and breakfast. Great way of "diluting" the freeze dried rations consumption! Steaks, sausages, scrambled egg with salmon, bacon for breakfast, all perfectly cooked... one night we did an upside pizza, it's great for this, on a normal stove there would have been hot spots and probably impossible to get same results with this wide heat source on the frying pan.Disadvantages===========Heavy - this I could live with, there was no surprise it was heavier than other cooking systems.Badly wind affected. I didn't expect this, the slightest breeze and it went out or I was unable to light it with the Muka Pocket blow torch. It's hard enough knowing when the thing it lit, so it appeared the only way I would know is the sudden smell of gas. For me it was totally unusable outside of the tent unless the air was perfectly still. All cooking with it had to be done inside the tent, thankfully we have a big internal vestibule and this wasn't a big problem.Overall after my experience would I bring it again? If there was going to be plenty of proper food cooking on a thru hike (Shops plenty) then I would, I just wish it performed better in a breeze so I could cook outside the tent.
