Keep those cables out of sight as Yopu raise that desk!
As I've just had my new standing desk fitted, I came into the market for a slinky to help hide that annoying spaghetti of cabling that magically appears under every desk, and I've got more than enough cables going into my desk! I decided to choose this one since it's the colour I wanted and was more reasonably priced than the others. On arrival, it is plasticy and feels like plastic and you do wonder if it would break if wires are continually moved in and out, but realistically, we fit it once and then it left, so I'm not too worried about that, its under the desk and no one pays that much attention to it, but it contains those cables well! It's easy to move sections from if you want to reduce the height of the slinky, but at 6'6", I needed them all in for when I am standing, although then you do get a bit of a curl up when in the seating position, that's not a problem and my feet don't get tangled up in it. The top was easily fixed to the desk, ten-minute job with a battery drill and the included screws, and that holds the top of the slinky well to the desk, and the bottom is held by gravity, with a weighted bottom, which yes, does move, but you can kick it back into place and it's no real problem to me, it seems to settle in the right place every time. The cabling is a work in progress, a network cable still has to be moved and a couple of plug sockets are to be fitted to remove the extension block, but it is looking miles better already, and in all, I am happy with the slinky, reasonably priced and does the job, and certainly looks better than cables, I recommend it for those with a standing desk.

Good, but came slightly damaged
Great for what i'm after, but due to no cushioning in the packaging, one of the segments was a little broken. This wasnt an issue as it had pleantly of length, so i just discarded the broken segment.Happy with everything else. Really simple to set up and connect together. Cables slot / push into place. Nice gloss finish.

Tidies the cables
It's a bit fiddly to set up and the cables should be rooted through the base rather than over it, but it has tidied the two cables running to the standing desk nicely.

So much tidier
The media could not be loaded. £18.98 (at time of purchase) on a cable management system for a rising desk, I could not be more happier. It has 4 separate channels for cables so as to not have them all bunched in together to get entangled but you can still get some pretty thick cables in, the slots where you insert the cables are very tight and feel like they could break if to much force is used (luckily non were). Each segment can be removed/added to suit length needed but make sure to do so carefully as not to break the plastic lugs that snap into place to hold together. This has made such a difference to the look of my standing desk for a very inexpensive (compared to a lot of much more expensive ones) product.

Great at tidying lots of cables
I have a standing desk and needed to route a lot of cables through something like this. It does a good job at keeping things neat and tidy and it's pretty sturdy. It's a little fiddly getting some thicker cables in (Like DisplayPort cables) but to be honest it's fine, once they're in they don't pop out.My only real complaint is that the base is a little too light and with the cables I've got, they tend to pull it upwards. A heavier base would have been better.
