4‑Digit DC5‑36V Serial Port Digital LED Panel Meter, PLC Display LED Serial Port Meter Communication for MODBUS‑RTU RS485

This is working well for me. It is larger than I thought, at 96mm wide and 48mm tall (faceplate), and 29mm thick. The instructions are not obvious but here's the modbus 485 scoop:modbus address 0 is for the data bits. These are the values that will appear on the displaymodbus address 1 is for the decimal position. 00= XXXX, 01= XXX.X, 02= XX.XX, 03= X.XXXmodbus address 2 is for the brightness. 00 is the dimmest and 07 is the brightestmodbus address 3 is for the baud rate. 00 = 1200, 01 = 2400, 02 = 4800, 03 = 9600,. etc..These match the description above that use numbers 1..4, the address is one less. Serial default is 9600-8-N-1, and the modbus device ID is 1. I put 24VDC on VCC and GND, rs485 on A+ and B- as shown, didn't use COM. Altogether lots of bang for the buck for an informal project (I'd worry in a washdown panel environment, and it doesn't seem to have a way to blank leading zeros, but I just needed some bright numbers on a panel and this is perfect)
