Makes building a shower pan easy since all you have to do is slope the floor towards one wall. Allows you to set the drain at least an inch higher than any other type of drain. In my case, that allowed me to create a zero entry shower. The drain is almost invisible when installed.

We haven't installed this yet, and frankly, are unsure if we will redo the shower floor to handle it, but I can tell you frankly, this is a gorgeous drain set up, and it comes packaged perfectly, with everything you will need. I personally love the idea of pushing water across the shower floor and hope it works out that we can work with this. Anyhow, for those reasons, I would suggest this for NEW construction. If you're replacing a floor drain, you're going to need to redo your floor or at least add secondary drain flanges to your plumbing output. But, if you're designing from scratch, I can tell you this is a beautiful drain, and you likely won't regret designing your drainage around using it.

We are renovating our master bathroom and discovered a major problem. The shower area floor slopes toward the wall. The plumber told us our floor would need digging up and releveling. Then by chance I found this linear wall drain and could not believe that it was the perfect solution to our problem. I had never seen these wall drains before and did not know they existed, obviously neither did my plumber. The project can now proceed and stay on budget. The drain kit comes with all you need to install it including the waterproof membrane. I am very happy to have found this quality product.
